Hard to believe he's been gone over 22 years. One of my all-time favorite comedians and people...

@rockyvines8045

A unique talent. As a comic, his punch line came often out of nowhere. And an outstanding variety show! He came out in drag portraying Geraldine Jones, and had the whole country saying things, like, "What you see is what you get!" I miss him too.

@Zulamayz

I loved Flip Wilson as a child and watched him as often as I could on tv. An awesome entertainer!

@rogerhuber3133

Flip was a comic genius. Nobody that ever saw Geraldine can forget her crazy actions.

So happy this was posted. In my memory I had conflated this routine as having been done by Richard Prior. These two men were contemporaries.

God bless Flip Wilson! Anyone who can make us laugh SO HARD at the truth, has to be a genius or a saint, or in this case, BOTH.

@eugenerowland1262

Poised. Perfectly confident. He draws you into the story. He was such an inspiration and matchless talent !!! 😃👍

@joedepalo419

Flip was sooooooo good. Timing, style, cadence, material always first rate & funny as he!!

@nlrmoldw1712

Yeah. Everything you said …but that timing! You see it, you know it, you see it coming, but when it hits, it always catches you off guard, anyways! The total package, Flip Wilson was.
