Final Call
Florian Picasso Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We belong to the stars
For a moment, we're in heaven, where we are
'Til we hear the final call
Let's pretend you'll be forever in my arms

We belong to the stars
For a moment, we're in heaven, where we are
'Til we hear the final call
Let's pretend you'll be forever in my arms
Forever in my arms
Forever in my arms

We belong to the stars
For a moment, we're in heaven, where we are
'Til we hear the final call
Let's pretend you'll be forever in my arms

(Forever in my arms)

We belong to the stars
For a moment, we're in heaven, where we are
'Til we hear the final call
Let's pretend you'll be forever in my arms

Forever in my arms
Forever in my arms

Overall Meaning

Florian Picasso's song "Final Call" is a song that highlights the fleeting nature of life and love. The song opens with the assertion that we belong to the stars, implying that we are all ultimately interconnected and tethered to the universe. The song goes on to describe a moment of bliss, where two lovers find themselves in a state of joy, basking in the glow of each other's love. However, there's the looming realization that their time together is limited, and they will soon hear the final call.

The final call could be interpreted in many ways, but it appears to be a metaphor for the end of life. The chorus seems to be saying that even though they will have to part ways at some point, they can take solace in the fact that they had this moment together. The plea for them to pretend to be forever in each other's arms seems to indicate a desire to hold onto this moment, to capture it and make it last forever.

Overall, Florian Picasso's "Final Call" is a poignant song about the transience of love and life, and the importance of cherishing the moments we have with the people we care about.

I can’t believe this song just randomly played on my Spotify yesterday and then looked it up and realized it was released 7 years ago. But damn, this song gave me chills, the animation kinda gave me goosebumps, gives me old animation vibes. One of the most heartbreaking videos. I think this music video was supposed to depict the Vietnam war.
