This was the story of a modern cinderella, a girl named Florencia, that worked as maid/nanny For thr Firtzelwalden family, which was conformed by 5 siblings. Florencia falls in love with the older Fritzenwalden, Federico, but their love isn't possible because he is engaged to a woman called Delfina who only wants him for money. Delfina and Florencia are daughters of the same father, but Flor doesnt know it. Flor is victim of her step mother and step sister sister who will try to make her life a living hell.

Floricienta is whimsical, happy, extremly imaginative, a bit crazy and is always talking, sometimes so fast you can't understand her! With some friends of her neighborhood she forms a band that plays mostly pop songs. The band from the soap opera also exists in the real life and relased two succesful albums in Latin America, Israel, España and many other countries.

Floricienta was so succesful, many countries have bought the format and adapted their own version under the name Floribella. The existing remakes of this soap opera are in Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, Chile and México (with the name Lola, érase una vez)
