Getting There
Flying Lotus Featuring Niki Randa Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Win the game
Rivaled adversary weight
The give and take
Getting there we're
Getting there
In these lyrics, it seems that Flying Lotus is referencing a competition of sorts. The first line, "Was it not for us to claim," implies that the singer and their team are trying to assert their dominance in some way. The next line mentions winning the game, which adds to the idea of a competitive situation. The third line, "Rivaled adversary weight," suggests that the competition is between two teams or individuals who are evenly matched. There may be a lot at stake, as both sides are putting forth a lot of effort in order to win.
The second half of the lyrics, "The give and take, Getting there we're, Getting there," implies that the competition is difficult and requires a lot of perseverance. There are moments when one side may gain the advantage, but then the other side will respond and the advantage will shift. The singer acknowledges that progress is being made toward some goal ("Getting there we're") but also recognizes that reaching that goal will take time and effort.

Loved to cruise trough LS with my lime green Turismo R back then.. I miss the real GTA online days sometimes. But before that, I used to cruise into the nearest big city with my then best friend to get some herb. And he had FlyLo FM on his USB. It was even better. Still regret that we lost contact. 🙃
