Cassius
Foals Lyrics
Cassius is over!
Cassius away!
Cassius these daydreams, these daydreams decay!
Cassius an accident!
Cassius an accident!
Accident!
Accident!
Accident!
Cassius away!
Cassius these daydreams, these daydreams decay!
Lighthouse (Life) is an accident!
The lighthouse (Love) is an accident!
Accident!
Accident!
Accident!
Wish you've gone-a, wish you've gone away, what you've gone-a
What you've got has always gone away
Cassius! Cassius! At best, it's all that we could do,
All that we could do
The wind is in, the wind is in my heart, the wind is in-
Now what you've got has always gone away
Cassius! Cassius! At best, it's all that we could do,
All that we could do
Cassius, is over! You're second best!
Cassius, it's over! You're second best!
It's over! You're second best!
Second best!
Second best!
Second best!
Cassius is over!
Cassius away!
Cassius these daydreams, these daydreams decay!
Lighthouse (Life) is an accident!
The lighthouse (Love) is an accident!
Accident!
Accident!
Accident!
Wish you've gone-a, wish you've gone away, what you've gone-a
What you've got has always gone away
Cassius! Cassius! at best, it's all that we could do,
All that we could do
The wind is in, the wind is in my heart, the wind is in-
Now what you've got has always gone away
Cassius! Cassius! At best, it's all that we could do,
All that we could do
Cassius, is over! You're second best!
Cassius, it's over! You're second best!
It's over! You're second best!
Second best!
Second best!
Second best!
Wish you've gone-a, wish you've gone away, what you've gone-a
What you've got has always gone away
Cassius! Cassius! At best, it's all that we could do,
All that we could do
The wind is in, the wind is in my heart, the wind is in-
Now what you've got has always gone away
Cassius! Cassius! At best, it's all that we could do,
All that we could do

The video was directed by Dave Ma and shows the band playing with hanging hearts and pills.

I don't understand the video at all, but at least they put their hearts into it.

Hey, as a artist/musician myself, it can be harder to come up with a eye catchy video matched with the song then it seems.. it’s funny how these guys have grown since this first album.. definitely can tell by the video concepts lol

This was my 1st Foals' track, along with Hummer back in the day.
Almost 2021 and I'm still here.

They are mathematical and anarchic, exquisite and ferocious, mature and immature. Foals introduced a new concept in music: the impossible. I wish they keep growing and never loose their amazing creative skills.
