For Science ultimately needs to go down in history for having the most incredibly powerviolence reason for breaking up... coming straight from the horse's mouth: "This probably sounds too ridiculous to be true, but our singer and my friend John Slover had an acid freakout which led him to pack up his stuff and move to New Orleans on a complete whim without telling anyone, then continue on to Hawaii. I doubt we'll be able to play any kind of last show due to the circumstances, at least not anytime soon, and I know that kinda sucks." WTF. Beautiful.

East of E
For Science Lyrics

We were watching East of Eden
No one should have to wake up from a dream like that alone
Last night we got in your car and went to a dark bar
And we got some drinks and sat around and talked about things
No one should ever have to walk home from a bar like that alone
Everyday I think about you and I know you do too
No one should ever have to lead a life like that alone
No one should ever have to turn out a light like that alone
The lyrics of For Science's song East of E appear to be about a dream of being with someone who the singer deeply cares about. The dream involved watching the movie East of Eden together, which might symbolize a moment of connection and shared intimacy. The desire to be with this person is emphasized in the line "No one should have to wake up from a dream like that alone." The dream continues as they go to a bar and have a conversation, but the loneliness of being separated from this person is still present, as indicated by the line "No one should ever have to walk home from a bar like that alone."
The following lines of the song suggest that the singer thinks about this person every day and worries about them, hoping that they are alright. The idea of being alone is brought up again in the line "No one should ever have to lead a life like that alone," reinforcing the notion that the singer wants to be with this person and not separated by loneliness.
The song seems to convey a sense of longing for someone who is important to them, and the fear of being alone. It may also be a reflection on the importance of connection and intimacy in our lives.
