A Plethora Of
For the Fallen Dreams Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Your whole world has been torn apart from the start.
Your whole world, your whole world...
You're in my heart and in my head.
A plethora of things that need to be said...
Does it make it alright to wish that you're dead?
I feel it's unsaid.
Feelings unsaid.
No one would care, no one would risk a thing for you, for you.
This I swear, my dear, I fear it's true.
No one cares for you.

I can see and feel it again, it's taking me away.
I don't know what else to say, but I know what I have said.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to For the Fallen Dreams' song, "A Plethora Of" tackle themes of pain, loss, and despair. The opening line, "Your whole world has been torn apart from the start" immediately sets an intense tone for the song. The singer seems to be addressing someone who has faced a lot of hardship and tragedy in their life. The line "You're in my heart and in my head" suggests that this person has had a significant impact on the singer's life, and the rest of the song is an attempt to express the complex emotions that arise from this relationship.

As the song progresses, the lyrics alternate between bleak self-reflection and accusations directed at the person the singer is speaking to. The line "A plethora of things that need to be said... does it make it alright to wish that you're dead?" captures the conflicting emotions the singer feels - on the one hand, they have a lot of things they want to say to this person, but on the other hand, they feel so hurt and betrayed that they're not sure they even want to be around them anymore.

The chorus of the song is particularly damning - "No one would care, no one would risk a thing for you, for you. This I swear, my dear, I fear it's true. No one cares for you." The singer seems to be taking a stand against the person they're addressing, insisting that nobody else will come to their aid or support them. There's an underlying anger to the lyrics that's both compelling and haunting. By the end of the song, the singer seems to be grappling with the weight of their own emotions, admitting, "I don't know what else to say, but I know what I have said."

I hear so many elements in this song. I hear slipknot like guitar at the beggining and death metal growls. At the end I hear asking alexandria like vocals and riythym guitars (can't spell) and all of these elements sound great in this song. Great song.

After I listen to this album which is easily once a week. I still can't figure out why some of their fan base was crying for that other dude to come back when this is so perfect! Like what else do you people want? You know how hard it is to find a vocalist with that kind of range! Wtf?!
