Lyrically, Fore's work is punctuated by complex rhyme schemes that betray a childhood affinity for Big L, Big Pun and Nas with a modern sense of emotional honesty and artistic ambition.

Cold
Fore Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You never take advice, someday you'll pay the price, I know
I've seen it before, it happens all the time
You're closing the door, you leave the world behind
You're digging for gold, you're throwing away
A fortune in feelings, but someday you'll pay
You want paradise, but someday you'll pay the price, I know
I've seen it before, it happens all the time
You're closing the door, you leave the world behind
You're digging for gold, you're throwing away
A fortune in feelings, but someday you'll pay
(solo)
Cold as ice - you know that you are
Cold as ice - as cold as ice to me
Cold as ice
You're as cold as ice, cold as ice, I know, yes I know
You're as cold as ice, cold as ice, I know, oh yes I know
You're as cold as ice, cold as ice, I know, oh yes I know
You're as cold as ice... (to fade)
The lyrics of Fore's "Cold" describe a person who is emotionally closed off and unwilling to listen to advice. The singer warns that this person's behavior will eventually lead to consequences - they will pay a price for their actions. The song uses the metaphor of digging for gold and throwing away a fortune in feelings to emphasize the idea that this person is sacrificing something valuable in pursuit of their own goals.
The repetition of the chorus and the guitar solo emphasize the emotion behind the lyrics. The use of the metaphor of digging for gold and throwing away emotions creates a sense of tension and conflict between the two characters in the song. The singer is trying to warn the cold person that their actions will have consequences, and that they will eventually regret their decisions.
Overall, Fore's "Cold" is a song about emotional detachment and the cost of prioritizing personal gain over relationships. It warns that ignoring the emotional needs of others will lead to a lonely and unfulfilling existence.

I got sick for the first time in 2 1/2 years, I had been anticipating when it would happen since covid restrictions have strongly been lifted… and now here we are and I caught a common cold. It’s not that I forgot how annoying it is but I am definitely reminded of its setbacks. I’m on day 5 of being sick and I’m soooo ready to be able to do anything again 😓

I had the flu once when I was 10 yrs old, survived it, I remember I was home almost 2 weeks, NEVER had the flu since, I'm now 30 - In the past 20 yrs I've only had 2 minor colds but never a fever. My doctor told me that my body built some good immunity that protected me all these years.

I had the Hong Kong Flu in 1968 when I was 13. I can honestly say that is the one and only time I’ve had FLU. Attention time, I couldn’t have cared less if I lived or died! Off school a full 3 weeks and weak for a longtime after. Flu is definitely NOT like a common cold!
