Panic
Forest Swords Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I feel something's wrong
But the panic is on
I feel something's wrong
But the panic is on
But the panic is on
But the panic is on

I feel something's wrong
But the panic is on
I feel something's wrong
But the panic is on

I'm so darn scared
Any moment you'll be gone

I'm so darn scared
Any moment you'll be

Overall Meaning

Forest Sword's song "Panic" is a haunting and poignant reflection on the feeling of anxiety that can overtake us in moments of uncertainty. The lyrics speak to the sense that something is not quite right, but that the feeling of panic and fear is so strong that it takes over and causes us to lose our grip on reality.

Throughout the song, the repetition of the phrase "but the panic is on" serves to further emphasize the all-consuming nature of anxiety and the way it can take hold of us and keep us locked in a state of terror. As the lyrics continue, the singer expresses their sense of vulnerability and fear in the face of an uncertain future, unsure of what might happen next or how to cope with the perceived threat.

Ultimately, "Panic" is a powerful meditation on the human experience of anxiety and how it can sweep us up in a wave of fear, leaving us feeling helpless and uncertain. Through its haunting melody and evocative lyrics, the song captures the deep emotional resonance of this complex and often overwhelming feeling, while offering a poignant reminder of the importance of staying grounded and connected in moments of crisis.

I love it when a song describes a universal, subjective feeling, sonically, accurately AND in a unique or novel way. This song is a perfect example. Panic can be a heavy slow, exhausting, undulating creep, specifically if what you are most terrified by takes time to truly manifest. I simply adore the realization of this track.

Like first you hear from your doctor"your disease is getting worse you are going to die"
Even after realise what he said doesn't seem real you expect to wake up and find it was just a bad dream
But as day go by disease shows worse symptoms panic hit slowly and gradually
As you see it coming slowly
But approching the end the finishline death

forest swords' music is like those nightmares you wake up screaming from but somehow you still want more.

writedrunk.editdrunk 1) I love your username. Great strategy. 2) Usually when that happens to me it's because the nightmare left off at a point that gave the dream a dark implication for my real life and I need the end of it to be resolved or else I remain scared even after waking. (ex. someone curses me in the dream to die a horrible death, and I have some kind of anti-curse potion to stop them, but the dream ends before I get to use it).
