My Way
Forever M.C. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain

I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
Oh, and more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
But more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
Had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
"Oh no, oh no not me
I did it my way"

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Overall Meaning

The song "My Way" by Forever M.C. is a cover of the classic Frank Sinatra song of the same name. The lyrics are about reflecting on one's life as it comes to an end and feeling proud of the choices and decisions they made. The singer talks about living life on their own terms and doing things their way, even if it led to mistakes and regrets. The chorus repeats the line "I did it my way" as a declaration of self-determination and confidence in one's own choices.

The song speaks to a universal theme of individualism and the desire to be in control of one's life. It celebrates the idea of taking risks and owning one's mistakes, rather than following someone else's path. The singer acknowledges that life has its ups and downs, but ultimately, they are responsible for their own decisions and the course of their life.

Overall, "My Way" is a powerful and introspective song that encourages listeners to be true to themselves and embrace the freedom of making their own choices.

YALL CHECK OUT K-RINO.......

POINT IS: Yall niggas reading this needa bump the 55++ albums that K-RINO has and
I PROMISE YOU, you will not meet a harder rapper than K-RINO - in terms of pure creativity and lyrical genius -..

POINT IS: K-RINO still produces HEAT. He's been in the rap game since 1983 and stayed underground for 97% of his career as an artist while dedicating most of his life to his hoods and his people in Houston. He
not only absolutely shred rappers lyrically but he speaks on the realest shit in our society, ie the power structure, the oligarch powers, all of our oppressors, he speaks on truth as pure as it is and does enough research that NO MAJOR RECORD LABEL DEAL WILL GO NEAR HIM..
He has prolifically exposed the mainstream entertainment industry and its evil many a times,.. and bodied their statist bourgeoisie accomplices over hundreds of beats, and does it like no other rapper I've ever seen..

AND HE'S STILL GOING,, 30+ YEARS K-RINO MADE HISTORY IN 2016 BY RELEASING 7 ALBUMS IN A SINGLE DAY... HE HAS RELEASED 4 SINCE THEN, AND PLANS TO RELEASE 4 MORE BEFORE 2018 IS THROUGH AND I'VE YET TO FIND A SINGLE WHACK SONG FROM HIM

All of his work is on youtube and I guarantee that if YOU value real hip-hop, you'll tell the tale of THIS LYRICAL WIZARD to all who value the same
