“Aporia”, and the subsequent self-titled second album both received much critical acclaim upon their releases in March 2006 and April 2009 respectively for its “song writing craft and sheer power (Both Kerrang! 4/5)”.
The band released their second self-titled album in 2009 on Siege of Amida records. Their second release showcased a more melodic sound than "Aporia". Like its predecessor, "Forever Never" gained a 4/5 review from Kerrang! magazine.
The band went on hiatus in 2012 . In 2015, they returned with a new sound and new singles "Never Giving Up", "One Life" (which got to #5 on the Kerrang! Rock Chart) and "Living A Lie". The band are due to release a brand new EP in 2016 which will be their first original release since 2009.
The band's current lineup consists of Renny Carroll (vocals), Mitch Witham (bass), George Lenox (guitar), Frank Ransom (guitar) and Sam Curtis (drums).

Drowning
Forever Never Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Abnegating deliberation,
Heart unshaken.
Take a crowning breath,
We're sinking deeper out of consciousness.
Consciousness.
Hold head under,
Hold my nose.
Senses Fading,
Paradise comes true.
This inquisitive soul,
Confined to this uninspiring world,
Will end soon.
Eyes aligned, and brain controls every move,
I'm ready for asphyxiation.
Breathing.
Will cease, to be.
Hold head under,
Hold my nose.
Senses Fading,
Paradise comes true.
The lyrics of the song "Drowning" by Forever Never convey a sense of resignation and a longing for escape from the limitations of the physical world. The first stanza speaks of a "corruptible mind" that is unrestrained by any conscious decision-making process, and a heart that remains unaltered. The phrase "take a crowning breath" implies a sense of acceptance in the face of impending death.
The second stanza describes a soul that feels trapped in a mundane existence, and is prepared to embrace the end. The imagery of holding one's head under and holding one's nose suggests a deliberate attempt to drown oneself. The line "senses fading, paradise comes true" reinforces the idea that the individual is seeking release from the physical world.
The repeated phrase "consciousness" throughout the song implies a state of awareness that goes beyond the tangible world. The final lines of the song suggest a final release from the constraints of the physical world, with the cessation of breathing indicating a release of the soul from the body.

and ye, this sound is basically like Karnivool, the sound the two bands have is different but the basic idea is the same, trying to add the rythmic variety and the riffs to alter rock choruses, i think it is a great kind of music that should be given more attention.
