Crossroads
Forever the Sickest Kids Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You and me against the wall
Kiss or fight it, its your call
No matter what you do
I'll still feel the same about you
We're at a cross road
Our situations changing from day to day
You're probably thinking that we should go on our separate ways
No matter what you do
I'll still feel the same about you
We're at a cross road

I get your point
We're better friends than lovers
I get it, I got it, I guess that we're moving on
And if I had a chance, I'd do it all over
I get it, I got it, I guess that we're moving on
You got in my heart, you got in my head
and I believe everything that you said
We're at a cross road
We're at a cross road
We're at a cross road
I guess that we're moving on

You and me, we disagree
I'm growing young and you're maturing
You see things in black and white
It's not my fault you're colorblind
You finally followed through with the things you told me you'd do
You're leaving me in Dallas, headed off to somewhere new
Just like you
No matter what you do
I'll still feel the same about you
We're at a cross road

I get your point
We're better friends than lovers
I get it, I got it, I guess that we're moving on
And if I had a chance, I'd do it all over
I get it, I got it, I guess that we're moving on
You got in my heart, you got in my head
And I believe everything that you said
We're at a cross road
We're at a cross road
We're at a cross road
I guess that we're moving on

I get your point
We're better friends than lovers
And if I had a chance, I'd do it all over!
You got in my heart, you got in my head
And I believe everything that you said
We're at a cross road
I guess that we're moving on

I get your point
We're better friends than lovers
I get it, I got it, I guess that we're moving on
And if I had a chance, I'd do it all over
I get it, I got it, I guess that we're moving on
You got in my heart, you got in my head
And I believe everything that you said

We're at a cross road
I guess that we're moving on

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Crossroads" by Forever the Sickest Kids delve into the inner conflict of two individuals who are romantically involved and are standing at a crossroads in their relationship. The first verse talks about how they’re barely holding on to their relationship and are stuck as they struggle to figure out how to move forward. The line "Kiss or fight it, it’s your call" suggests that they could continue their romance or end it right then and there. Nevertheless, the singer conveys his unchanging feelings towards his partner, no matter the choice. As the song proceeds, it becomes clear that both speakers have different opinions about the status of their relationship. While one person is ready to move on and is confident that friendship is the best way forward, the other is not so sure.

The lyrics "I get your point, we’re better friends than lovers" show that one person has already made up his/her mind that after all the struggles and the complicated situation they have been through, it is better to be just friends. However, the other person, who is still in love, says they would do it all over again, conveying a sense of regret or unwillingness to let go. The chorus repeats the phrase, "We're at a crossroad," emphasizing the difficult decision, yet facing either road, there is still a sense of movement, change, and transition, regardless of the outcome.

In conclusion, "Crossroads" explores the narrow boundary between love and friendship, examining the challenges that come with venturing down each avenue, ultimately emphasizing the importance of difficult decision-making in the face of change.

I used to heard this song on the radio back in 2011 and I have been trying ever since to find this song online but I forgot most of the lyrics . But today I heard on the radio while I was driving and recorded the audio on my phone(I know pretty dangerous) then searched it up on Shazam when I got home. You have no idea how relieved I am .

It isn't. Is cheese punk. Go listen to At the Drive In or something for the real.
