Their debut album 'Teoria Dinâmica Gastativa' from 2004 have had successful songs such as 'História de Verão', 'Good Trip', and 'Hidropônica', hits among teen audience in Brazil with their pop-punk/hardcore. Their massive appearence on MTV Brazil always peaking the audience led a moment where the band emerged a scene from Rio de Janeiro again, with a lot of gigs sharing the stage with Darvin, Dibob, Ramirez and later all over Brazil with bands like Fresno, NX Zero and others.
Their 2008's second album 'Polisenso' represents a change in the band's perspective, now leaning towards genres like dub and reggae, with the outstanding use of synths by former guitarist Vitor Isensee. Songs like 'Sol ou Chuva', 'Gruvi Quântico', 'Sigo o Som' and 'Cigarras' represents this turning point, mostly in the bands' musicality but in the lyrics too.
In 2011, they released 'Alegria Compartilhada", consolidating the view of music and lyrics the band came to. A very convidative visual identity, now coloured, attached to carnival costumes and very rythmic drumming and percussion. The acceptation of a great part of the public put again the band to a lot of important gigs around Brazil (even that the band never stopped playing big tours). 'Largo dos Leões' became a hit, and 'Alegria Compartilhada', 'Cosmic Jesus' with the great participation of Black Alien, 'Quem Vai, Vai' brought a lot of success to this album.
In 2013, with almost the lights off, they release the EP Solto, with 3 songs, including a featuring with Hélio Bentes from the reggae band Ponto de Equilíbrio in 'Malícia'.
The next year, Forfun releases 'Nu', an album with less colours than its predecessor. Although it continues with the bands' influences from Polisenso and Alegria Compartilhada, the lyrics and some kind of the arrangements seems more introspective, trying to talk a lot more with the own members of the band, and the listener public to get identified by those. 'Mariá', 'O Baile Não Vai Morrer' (in this, a flirt with funk carioca), 'A Vida Me Chamou' appears as great songs and a beautiful keepwork of the bands' art.
In June 9th, 2015, the band announces the end of their road. 14 years later than the first demo, the band dissolves and each member must keep into another music project, since their allegued "We started to have different ideas. But we love each other too much, Forfun is an entity". The band leaves a great legacy of 5 releases and more than 60 songs that flirts with most of genres in popular music.
Earlier 2016, former Forfun members Vitor Isensee, Nicolas Christ and Danilo Cutrim announced their new project called BRAZA.
Former bass player Rodrigo Costa started his own career and side projects like Carranca and Tivoli.

It's not ok
perco a fala e sinto calafrios
você mora no décimo primeiro andar
no fim do corredor
perco a fala e sinto calafrios
The lyrics of "Cara Esperto" by Forfun speak to the experience of growing older and feeling nostalgic for the past. The singer reflects on a past relationship with a girl who used to call him every day, worried about the things he did late at night. Although he knew he wasn't good for her, he now wonders if he is truly happy with the life he has now that he has achieved his goals. He realizes that the things that used to make him happy, like girls chasing after him, no longer satisfy him. He misses the things he's lost, like his hometown and old friends who have disappeared without saying goodbye.
The second half of the song introduces a new element: the singer's current crush who lives on the eleventh floor of his building. He vacillates between trying to play it cool and feeling nervous and awkward whenever he sees her. He reflects on how the twists and turns of life have brought him to this point and wonders how much more things will change in the future.
Overall, "Cara Esperto" is a wistful and introspective song that addresses the bittersweet experience of growing up and leaving the past behind.

antes era a garotinha apaixonada
There was once a girl in love
que me ligava todo dia preocupada
Who would call me every day, worried
About the things I was doing in the wee hours of the morning
But deep down, she already knew I wasn't worth anything
hoje tenho a vida que sempre quis,
Today I have the life I always wanted
mas será que sou feliz?
But am I truly happy?
acho que nunca saberei
I don't think I'll ever know
garotas ligando e correndo atrás
Girls calling and chasing after me
já não me satisfazem mais
No longer satisfy me
It's not ok
It's not okay
sinto falta de coisas que perdi,
I miss the things I lost
do lugar onde eu nasci e do colégio que estudei
The place where I was born and the school I attended
amigos vão sem se despedir
Friends leaving without saying goodbye
e você já não me faz sorrir, e hoje eu sei
And you no longer make me smile, and today I know
That now, even though I always considered myself clever
quando vejo você por perto
When I see you nearby
perco a fala e sinto calafrios
I lose my words and feel chills
And I can't stop questioning the twists and turns life takes
And how everything has changed in a short time
I don't know why my legs tremble and I lose my breath
quando pego o elevador
When I take the elevator
você mora no décimo primeiro andar
You live on the eleventh floor
no fim do corredor
At the end of the hallway
And I pretend that it doesn't matter, that everything's okay with me
Should I turn my cap backward or leave it as is?
The flowers are nice, and so is my card
But when I ring the doorbell and you come...
I see that even though I always thought I was clever
quando vejo você por perto
When I see you nearby
perco a fala e sinto calafrios
I lose my words and feel chills
And I can't stop questioning the twists and turns life takes
e como tudo mudo e sempre vai mudar
And how everything changes and will always change
