Learning progress of a 13 year old:
Ive been playing the piano for 6 months.
June 4th:
2:14 PM
Learned 0:01 thru 0:10 right hand.
4:06 PM
Decided to commit and get a faster tempo on the right hand. Started practicing.
6:11 PM
Stopped practicing. Able to play right hand at 10% tempo now.
some random time at night (maybe like 1 AM):
practiced again for like 20 mins
I heard learning the technique takes years but its either that i am special or its all lies
maybe im playing it wrong
June 5th:
Around 4:30PM:
Practiced
6:00PM:
Practiced
maybe at half tempo now.
6:21PM:
Started learning left hand of 0:01 to 0:10

This Chopin Etude is based on a simple musical idea - chromatic thirds repeated in trills, then moving up and down the keyboard. 🎹 But it can take years to develop the strength and independence to perform it successfully - It took me about 6 years. Many pianists develop interesting ways of practicing this Etude to meet the challenge. The pianist Abram Chasins once went to visit Rachmaninoff at his home, and Rachmaninoff was practicing this Etude so slowly that he couldn’t recognize the piece being played!

Wow!

@SwervBubby

Such interesting lore. I can't wait to play this piece a couple years from now! :)

@ii6506

Sheild I can’t wait to play it 579301849039371703048 years from now

@SwervBubby

Aaron Smith Lol, same for me too. I only have a year of experience but in 5 trillion years I think I’ll be able to play my first Chopin piece.

@YouTubeChannel-nf2nw

You should post nocturne in f minor op, 55, no 1 and waltz in a-flat major, op 69, no 1 :)

@GrahamPiano

This piece makes everyone say: "Alright Chopin we get it, you're good at piano".

@firelight9295

only 'good' huh :)

@pleasecontactme4274

chopin wasnt extraordinary tho :(

@lolguytiger45

@@pleasecontactme4274 Yes he was. Liszt was a technically better pianist, but we don't listen for technique do we? Chopin was an unrivaled master at translating complex emotion onto the keys.
