François Morel Lyrics

J'l'ai trouvée con
La deuxième fois, je le regrette,
Même impression
Depuis quand je croise Colette
Au dépourvu
Je fais un signe de la tête
The lyrics in François Morel's song Colette capture the complex and ever-changing nature of human relationships. The singer initially sees Colette as foolish, thinking that she is not worth their time. However, after encountering her a second time, they realize that their initial impression was unfair and regrettable. From that moment on, whenever the singer comes across Colette unexpectedly, they acknowledge her with a nod and cannot help but pause in admiration.
At its core, Colette is a song about the power of perspective and how it can alter our understanding of those around us. The singer's first assumption about Colette stems from a shallow perception of her character, but once they take the time to truly see her, they realize that she is deserving of their respect and attention. This realization carries through the entire song, with the singer tirelessly seeking out Colette in every encounter.
Overall, François Morel's Colette is a poignant and introspective song that urges us to approach our relationships with an open mind and a willingness to look beyond first impressions.
