Besides the highly successful "Poupée de Cire, Poupée de Son", she also notably sung "Les Sucettes" and "Baby Pop". In France, she was perhaps more known for the chanson songs she sang in the late-70s through the mid-80s, many of them written by her husband, Michel Berger, who died in 1992. In 1987, she had some additional international success with her Ella Fitzgerald tribute "Ella, elle l'a". She still recorded music into the new millennium.
France Gall died on 7 january 2018 at age 70 in a hospital in Paris.

France Gall Lyrics

Pour que ça reste chaud
Je sais ce qu'il nous faut
C'est du jazz à gogo
Tout ceux qui l'aime bien
Et moi qui l'aime bien
On va chanter ensemble
Pourvu que ça balance
K. pour la guitare
O.
K. pour la batterie
Et pour la contrebasse
Et le piano aussi
Tout ceux qui l'aime bien
Et moi qui l'aime bien
On va danser ensemble
Pourvu que ça balance
Et dans tous les pays

Parlons la même langue
Le jazz mène la danse
In France Gall's song "Jazz à gogo", the singer joyfully declares her love for jazz music and suggests that after a slow dance, to keep the atmosphere hot, all they need is some upbeat jazz. She invites everyone who loves jazz to sing and dance together, as long as they all find a common balance. The lyrics reflect the vibrant energy and the joyful and unifying power of jazz music. The words "à gogo" in the title mean "in abundance" or "to the max", emphasizing the presence of this music genre in the song.
The song's theme of the universality of music is also highlighted in the lyrics, as Gall expresses that jazz leads the dance in all countries, from New York to Paris, and that it brings people together despite any language barriers. The verses praising the different instruments indicate that each of them is essential to create the perfect harmony in jazz music, just like everyone who loves it is important to maintain its vitality and popularity.
Overall, "Jazz à gogo" is a joyful celebration of the music that has touched and influenced so many people around the world. The words describe a sense of community, inclusivity, and shared love for jazz, all brought together by the music's irresistible beats and grooves.

I like this song... She also got "jazzy" on 'Pense a moi'... And Gitte, (from Denmark, but singing in German) had a similar number called "Wenn Du muskialisch bist" ("if You're Musical")...

Heck no it doesn't matter what she's singing about, we love her either way(but if any of us non French speaking folk could understand what she is saying, I'm sure it would be very delightful and thought provoking)! I also love her high range notes!
