Trampoline
Francine Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Eight Inch B
And W Sylvania
Dirty piece of tinfoil makes a good antenna
Mint shag and a harvest gold recliner
Custom detailed trailer
Make this year keep a holding pattern
Pretty girl astronomer she's looking up at Saturn
Win her brother over with a 'gansette
Please let me keep my teeth
I'll redo the tie rods you're composing at your mac
We'll rent "Aliens" and kill the sound for Back in Black

Trampoline
Above the tops of evergreens
I miss you the most, trampoline
Beyond the campers to the sea, Springfield and beyond

Maybe you should start to think of leaving
Don't forget your autographs of
Joe and Brad and Steve
I get jealous every time I see 'em
Sharpie love letters to you

You'll be a telemarketer but only for a while
Brush up at the green mill
Read the elements of style

Trampoline
Above the tops of evergreens
I miss you the most, trampoline
Beyond the campers to the sea, Springfield and beyond

Trampoline
Above the tops of evergreens

I miss you the most, trampoline
Beyond the campers to the sea, Springfield and beyond

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Francine's song "Trampoline" are abstract and full of vivid imagery. The first verse describes various mundane objects such as a dirty piece of tinfoil used as an antenna, a mint shag carpet, and a harvest gold recliner in a custom trailer park. This is contrasted with the description of a "pretty girl astronomer" looking up at Saturn. The verse ends with a mention of trying to win over her brother with a beer.

The chorus, which repeats throughout the song, speaks of missing someone the most when jumping on a trampoline above the evergreens and looking beyond the campers to the sea. The second verse suggests the idea of leaving and collecting autographs from famous people such as Joe, Brad, and Steve, which causes feelings of jealousy from the singer. The verse ends with a suggestion to become a telemarketer and improve writing skills by reading "The Elements of Style."

"Trampoline" is a song that explores the theme of missing someone and the longing for escape through jumping on a trampoline. The lyrics are filled with nonsensical images and stray thoughts that seem to mirror the restless and aimless feelings of the singer. The chorus provides a beautiful and serene image of jumping on a trampoline above the evergreens and looking beyond, which suggests a feeling of freedom and possibility. Overall, the song is a poetic and whimsical exploration of longing and escape.

@Notsosimpleliving

@happybeetv so cool similar story. Started carnivore 3 wks ago. Have only lost 3 lbs. Im 60 also. Just bought a Jumpsport. I considered the bcan. Do you like it? How's it going? Can't wait till I can say I've lost 80 lbs!!!

@tulsiannerose8810

I used to be able to do 30 minutes athletic and active on the rebounder. I stopped exercising at about age 49 then I went through menopause at age 50 and I'm just getting back to it at 53 and I cannot believe how out of shape I have become. I had to back it up a few notches and do this video. Although I do think I could do one where I kick my legs this was perfect for me tonight because I had been on my feet so much today. Thank you so much for making this video it really was a help and I did feel it on my legs. I'm hoping to get to where I can do the same videos that I used to be able to do. One day at a time
