Du grand hall e de roissy-charles-de-gaulle
Moue d'épagneul quand j'enfourche la meule
Mais je rejoins cette fille bientôt
Paris j'suis amoureux
Paris j'suis amoureux
Paris, qu'est-ce qui m'arrive
P'têt c'était trop beau
Oui
Paris j'suis amoureux
Paris j'suis amoureux
Paris
Paris, t'es vieille, t'as fumé toute mon oseille
T'es une blonde qui plaît à tous les autres
Seulement ma vieille, aux dernières nouvelles
Tu as toujours eu le dernier mot
Rapetissez, faubourg du temple
Rapetissez, les monuments
Rapetissez, les boulevards
Rapeti... rapeti... rapetissez
Paris j'suis amoureux
Paris j'suis amoureux
J'me sens plus chez moi d'un coup
P'têt c'était trop beau
Oui
Paris j'suis amoureux
Paris j'suis amoureux
Paris quoiqu'il arrive
Tu va pardonner beaucoup
C'est mon dernier mot
Paris j'suis amoureux
Paris j'suis amoureux
Paris
In Franck Monnet's song Paris, the lyrics describe the singer's arrival at the airport in Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle. The singer is alone, and he leaves the terminal with a disappointed expression. He compares his expression to that of a dog's before getting on a scooter to meet a girl. However, he can't resist the allure of Paris and sings about how he's fallen in love with the city. The singer feels out of place and as if he's not at home after he arrives in Paris. He admits that he might have been too idealistic about the city.
The second half of the song is an ode to the aspects of Paris that can be frustrating to outsiders. The city is described as old and having burned through all of the singer's money. The singer compares Paris to a beautiful blonde who catches everyone's eye but who also has a quick tongue. As he drives through the city, he instructs it to shrink and be less imposing. At the end of the song, the singer concludes that he loves Paris no matter what, and it will forgive him for his complaints.
