Françoise Hardy signed her first contract with the record label Vogue in November 1961. In April 1962, shortly after finishing school, her first record Oh Oh Chéri appeared, written by Johnny Hallyday's writing duo. Her own flip side of the record, "Tous Les Garçons Et Les Filles" became a success, riding the wave of Yé-yé music in France, with two million sales.
Hardy sang in French, English, Italian, Spanish, and German. In 1963 she came fifth for Monaco in the Eurovision Song Contest with "L'amour s'en va". In 1963, she was awarded the Grand Prix Du Disque of the Charles Cros Academy.
In 1981, she married her long-time companion Jacques Dutronc, with whom she had had a son, Thomas Dutronc, in 1973. In 1994, she collaborated with the British pop group Blur for their "La Comedie" version of To The End. In May 2000, she made a comeback with the album Clair Obscur. Her son played guitar and her husband sang the duet "Puisque Vous Partez En Voyage." Iggy Pop and Étienne Daho also took part. Hardy lives near Paris and Dutronc lives in Monticello, Corsica, although they remain a couple.[citation needed]
Avec Toute Ma Sympathie

Je t'ai rien de mandé
Chacun son style
Et son idée
Les faux rideaux
Et les coups bas
Le cocteau dans le dos
À d'autres qu'à moi
Viens pas me dire
Que t'as changé
Tu peux courir
Pour me piéger
J'ai retenu
Toutes les leçons
Je mordrai plus
À l'hameçon
Ta jolie tête d'ange
Je l'ai assez vue
L'envie me démange
De plus te dire tout
Assez ri
Je t'ai adoré, hai
Je t'ai encensé, maudit
À l'infini
Assez ri
Tu m'as blessée, trahie
Je me suis blindée, durcie
Mais pas guérie
Assez ri
J'ai perdu l'appétit
Des tragi-comédies
Et du non-dit
Assez ri
Même si tu baisses ton prix
Et me donnes des garanties
J'ai plus envie
Avec toute ma sympathie
Avec mes regrets aussi
Faut pas polluer
Mon peu d'espace
Juste pour tuer
Le temps qui passe
Faut pas quitter
Tes bars-palaces
Juste pour gratter
Sous ma cuirasse
Ta jolie tête d'ange
Je l'ai assez vue
Crois pas que je me venge
Mais j'assure plus
Bas les pattes
Chaque fois que tu m'as, tu mates
Ailleurs et tu convoites
Celles que t'as pas
Bas les pattes
Quand je me rebiffe, tu me flattes
Quand je capitule, tu me rates
Pas, tu m'abats
Bas les pattes
Je suis plus candidate
Aux amours névropathes
Qu'est-ce que tu crois
Bas les pattes
Arrête de te mettre en quatre
Le diable qui sort de sa boite
J'ai fait une croix
Avec toute ma sympathie
Avec mes regrets aussi
The lyrics of Françoise Hardy's song "Avec Toute Ma Sympathie" are about a woman who has suffered betrayal and deception from someone she was close to. The singer is telling this person to leave her alone because they have caused her enough pain. The person is trying to win back her affections, but the singer is not interested. The singer has learned their lesson and will not be tricked by this person again.
The song speaks to the emotions of love, loss, and disappointment that many people experience. The singer is clear in their message that they have moved on, but they still have sympathy for the person who betrayed them. The singer has learned to protect themselves but has not become hardened in a way that prevents them from feeling compassion for others. The song is a powerful message about the resilience of the human spirit, and the ability to move on from pain and heartbreak.
Overall, the song is about forgiveness, growth, and understanding. It's a message to those who have been hurt before to keep moving forward, to learn from their experiences, and to keep their hearts open to the possibility of love.
