Overall Meaning

In Frank Ocean's song Bitches Talkin', he starts off with a sample that says "Stop! Let me go! You don't got no Jodeci?" which is an interesting start to the song. Jodeci is a famous R&B group from the 90s, and it seems like the person in the sample is upset that there is no Jodeci music playing. This could be interpreted in a few different ways, such as the person being nostalgic for the past and wishing for the music they grew up with or possibly even critiquing the current state of music.

The next line, "All you bitches want is Jodeci, what the fuck?" could be seen as a continuation of the first line. It seems like Frank Ocean is expressing frustration with people who only want to listen to music from a specific time period, and perhaps not expanding their horizons. The use of the word "bitches" in this line is interesting as well, as it can be seen as a derogatory term towards women, but in this context, Frank Ocean might be using it more as a general term for people who are only interested in popular music.

The third line, "What's a Radiohead.. anyway" is a direct reference to the band Radiohead. It's unclear who is saying this line, but it seems like they are dismissing the band's music as not worth listening to. This could be a commentary on the music industry and how certain artists are often overlooked or dismissed by the masses.

Overall, the lyrics to Bitches Talkin' seem to be commenting on the state of music and how people often have limited tastes when it comes to what they listen to. It's an interesting commentary on the industry and the way people interact with music.

if any rock band could be appreciated by all races it would easily be radiohead, really versatile

@MM-vs2et

@@Rohit-jv7nl I'd disagree. Radiohead produced a sound that is appealing to white teen to young adults. Even though they didn't intend on that, they actually pioneered that "sadboy" sound.

@krisj2656

@@MM-vs2et no, I disagree with you. Radiohead produces music that THEY enjoy and that convey their feelings, experiences, and overall goals. As long as people are open to different types of music, it can be appealing to them. As an African American myself, I don't want to be categorized as white or any of that. Music is music. I think people who aren't open to different sounds the ones who profile bands as "just for __ people".
