Answer Me
Frankie Laine Lyrics

ANSWER ME OH MY LOVE
JUST WHAT SIN HAVE I BEEN GUILTY OF
TELL ME HOW I CAME TO LOSE YOUR LOVE
PLEASE ANSWER ME MY LOVE

YOU WERE MINE YESTERDAY
I BELIEVED THAT LOVE WAS HERE TO STAY
WON'T YOU TELL ME WHERE I'VE GONE ASTRAY
PLEASE ANSWER ME MY LOVE
IF YOU'RE HAPPIER WITHOUT ME
I'LL TRY NOT TO CARE
BUT IF YOU STILL THINK ABOUT ME
PLEASE LISTEN TO MY PRAYER

YOU MUST KNOW I'VE BEEN TRUE
WON'T YOU SAY THAT WE CAN START ANEW
IN MY SORROW NOW I TURN TO YOU
PLEASE ANSWER ME MY LOVE

Miss you Dad, you loved Frankie, your voice sounded so much the same...what I would give to hear you sing again, the old days...I never knew until now how very special they were. Now Dad, you have left this world, but never my heart, I hear you always in this song...and once again I am home....🥺😞❤

My father loved this song, and I have always loved it, since I was around 6 or 7.

Oh Mark I thought nolstagia was a thing of the past! Thank you for taking me back to those days. I had not long been de-mobbed from  RAF bomber command after seven years in 1949. The times for us brits was pretty severe, we still had food rationing untill 1953,. but the music from USA made up for all that, the big bands and then all the solo singers. then the 60s with all the rock & roll, then came the Brits. I have lived through some wonderful times. May your God go with you.

I was a teenager during the 1950s , and there was no one bigger than Frankie , I bought all his records . His voice and style were unique , and I'm pleased  he had a long and successful  life !
