Frankie Laine Lyrics

Someday, of the days that shall be
Oh, surely you will come and remind me
Of a dream that is calling, for you and for me
And someday, when the winter is over
Someday, in the flush of the spring
My soul shall discover
The soul born for my lover
And someday, when the winter is over
Someday, in the flush of the spring
My soul shall discover
The soul born for my lover
The girl who can make me a king
The lyrics to Frankie Laine's "Someday" are all about hope and anticipation for finding true love. The song speaks directly to the listener, suggesting that someday, they will seek and find the singer, sparking a connection that had been destined to be. The lyrics describe a dream that is calling for both the listener and the singer, and that when the right woman comes along, she will be able to make him feel like a king. The imagery throughout the song is quite poetic, with references to the changing of seasons and new beginnings.
The repetition of the line "And someday, when the winter is over" really sets the tone for the entire song. It's a very metaphorical way of saying that no matter how long it takes, the right person will come into their lives eventually. The line "The girl who can make me a king" is also very symbolic, suggesting that true love has the power to make someone feel powerful and important. Overall, the song is a beautiful message of hope for anyone who is searching for love or companionship.

Me being the youngest of four sons and two daughters growing up in the 60's would listen to my father belt this song out whilst preparing Sunday lunch along with Mum who would say ''put Ghost Riders on, then Navajo Trail, 310 to Yuma''....Dad knew every word, pitch perfect and powerful. How I miss those days of Dad & Frankie singing together.
