Having been in a âmental hospitalâ myself, I have to agree the experience wasnât ideal.
I felt so small.
Watching cups of medications be handed out on the hour it seemed.
Everyone faking being better to âget outâ because it wasnât as thought.
Limited freedom even to sleep.
It felt like jail, without cuffs.
An experience Iâll never forget.
Itâs a totally broken system.

This is exactly why many in a suicidal state refuse to seek "help".

Can confirm. This still goes on today and it's heartbreaking. I will never let my kids go through what I did.

@D Mooreyouâre simply wrong. Obviously, I was mocking Trumpâs claim that he won in 2016 âby a landslide,â even though he lost the popular vote by almost 3 mil. In 2020, Biden beat Trumpâs 2016 electoral college AND popular votes AND margins; so, according to Trumpâs logic, Biden won by an even greater landslide than Trump.
Aside, when you compare past pres elections, aside from Obama in 2008, Biden won the electoral college with a greater margin than any other winner since Bush in 1988, and won the popular vote with a greater margin than any other winner since Clinton in 1996. FunFact: Biden also won by the most popular votes EVER.

This happened to me as a child. I was held down or pinned to the floor for them to do this. Even now it's hard to have physical contact with others without being reminded of past events. Best part they were dragging into the "quiet room" and my mother was there to see it happen. She got me out of the ward against the doctors wishes. The quiet room was literally solitary confinement.

I had something like this happen to me as a kid. Some psychologist came to our school and gave us all a test. I was in either 4th or 5th grade. Anyway they said I scored really high on it and that I showed signs of being suicidal and convinced my parents that I needed to be institutionalized. So I was. I was in there about 2 weeks when my father came to see me and went to speak to the head doctor in charge of the facility, he overheard him telling whoever was on the phone to âTell them heâs suicidal and needs treatment and weâll just keep billing the insurance company.â Thatâs when my dad realized it was all a scam to commit insurance fraud. I donât know what he said to him but I went home with my dad that day!! This was in the early 90s.

Entirely your parents fault for not doing their job as parents to provide comfort and emotional support before things got so bad it led to you being institutionalized.

I couldn't imagine that a dad would do that to his son
