I had that all over my shoulders back and arms this summer. Literally could hardly move for a week and am slightly scared. What pisses me off was that it wasn’t even sunny. Aussie sun is fucked.
Edit: I do realize about UV rays, I had been living in Europe the year before and had forgotten, so please excuse me for my mistake. UV isn't as bad there. And yes I was wearing sunscreen, but it turned out it was 10 years old and was crap.

Ive only got sunburnt a few times and only once the past 2 years, but this time it was kinda bad bc i got sun poisoning but i used alot of allow and drunk alot of water but it wasnt bad its just some spots on my face was a bit swollen BUT WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS VIDEO IVE NEVER HEARD OF ANY OF THIS HAPPENING

Some advice I learned:
Do not go out in the sun between 12h-16h during summer.
Light from the sun=/=UV rays, so clouds, thin clothes, sun umbrellas, etc.. don't actually protect you as much as you think, indoor shade is your safest bet.
Being "tanned" does kinda protect your skin from burning but does not protect it from being radiated, so continue to wear sunscreen even if you're fully tanned.
Do not wear sunscreen under SPF 30.
Never go to tanning salons.
Being in the sun makes your skin wrinkle and age faster, so you will look older.
All in all you should live your life as you want this is advice that will protect you from health problems in the future but you shouldn't be a weirdo and stay in the shade your entire life, so try to balance these things, and if all you care about is getting that good tan, there are salons that will color your skin with special sprays, this is also good for people who can't tan. Good luck!

Stayed out in a pool watching a neighbors kid when I was like12 without applying sunscreen again the entire day. Late that evening I had around 7+ of these blisters all over my back, that varied in size. The pain was awful to the point I couldn't wear a shirt or let anything touch my back. Eventually had my aunt drain the blisters to relieve the pain even though you shouldn't due to potential infections. I remember getting ointment slathered over my entire back, slapping a shirt on finally and going with the fam to a midnight movie release where I sat on the edge of my seat cause it was to painful to let it touch my back. 1/3 through the movie I gave up watching the movie and layed face down in front of the seats and promptly fell asleep. To this day I've never went back to finish that movie.

@Freya I do carry sunscreen on me all the time now. I burn in like 30 minutes of direct sunlight. It was just when I was a kid, I was super hard headed and was just chose to burn for no reason or believed I would one day not burn XD

I did this ONCE in my late 20s! I ended up with a burn so bad it was sun poisoning and I never did it again! I had to spend most of my vacation wrapped in a soft blanket (I was freezing!), covered in aloe, and pop ibuprofen.

Oh gosh bad memories all over. I had a similar sunburn like this when I was younger, playing on the beach for hours and refused to wear any sunblock.
It hurt to move, any touch felt like rubbing sand.
After a few days of burning sensation, skin started to peel off.
Then I noticed I was also significantly tanned

I fell asleep on a speed boat in the Bahamas, woke up with half my shoulder that wasn't covered by a towel was bright red and very painful to the touch. Learned my lesson to not believe the "Middle Eastern/South Asian people don't burn" claim.

I burned. It was painful. Now it's sunscreen all day, even indoors. 😅

Remember that a single blistering sunburn during childhood can double your risk of melanoma, not just a mild one. Though mild sunburns clearly increase risk, they do at a lower rate than blistering ones.

Thats exactly why I use zinc and not sunscreen. Zinc is in sunscreen but if you get sunscreen sometimes there can be other chemicals in it or not enough zinc to protect you.

However getting straight zinc from a pharmacy is cheaper and better and a little goes a long way.

Fun fact: some whales (i cant remember which ones) need zinc to avoid getting sunburnt!

Melanoma can happen to anyone and it can show up in areas that weren't exposed to the sun i.e., pads of feet and underarms, etc.. Athletes who are constantly to su or sum plus water are especially att risk. People who smoke, drink alcohol and eat meat, are especially at risk also.

The fluid inside the blister is called SERUM, your body draws it out of your flesh in order to protect the skin from severe damage.
If if the blister isn't busted, the skin redistributes the fluid back into the skin.
Never seen anything that severe.
