Lost In You Again
Fred Hammond Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Seems like I've spent this whole life of mine
Searching and searching trying to find
A life filled with love that You already gave
Because of the searching, it pulled me away

I Found all the heartache, I found all the pain
I Found all the drama, I found all the shame
But my search will not end, no my search will not end
Till I find myself

Lost in You again, lost in You again
My search will not end, till I find myself

You said seek and I'll find, ask and I'll find, knock and the door will be open Lord

Lost in You again, lost in You again
My search will not end, till I find myself

Lost in You
Lost in You

Lost in You
Lost in You

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Fred Hammond's song "Lost In You Again" paint the picture of a search for something that has resulted in nothing but heartache and pain. It's a search for love and acceptance that the singer has been on their entire life, but despite their efforts, they have not found what they are looking for. The lyrics suggest that maybe the singer has been looking for love and acceptance in all the wrong places and that this search has led them away from the one true source of love - God. However, the singer recognizes that their search will not end until they find themselves "Lost in You again," meaning they have found their way back to God and the love and acceptance that they have been searching for all along.

The lyrics highlight the concept of searching for something that may have been in front of us all along. Sometimes we search for love and acceptance in people or things that can never provide what we truly need. However, the singer recognizes that God is the only true source of love and that their search for love and acceptance will not end until they find themselves lost in God again.

In summary, the song "Lost In You Again" by Fred Hammond showcases the complexity of the human search for love and acceptance. The lyrics highlight the fact that often we search for these things in all the wrong places, and only when we find ourselves lost in God again can we truly find the love and acceptance we have been searching for.

Fred Hammond is awesome! The Commissioned are great story tellers. Anointed and appointed. Things of the Spirit never gets old.

I hadn't heard this song in quite awhile. I was hearing a melody and instrumental in my soul and I couldn't quite make out what it was I sensed Holy Spirit was bringing something up that I needed and the more I let it roll around in my head eventually I realized it was this song which I used to play the CD back a couple years ago constantly. A very slept on album. So glad I was able to find out what it was and search the title. Thank you Father.

Brilliant. He's done it for so long. His music is what attracted me to gospel music over 16 years ago, and he has not lost his touch one bit. God bless you Fred Hammond.

I Love This Song.... It speaks the sentiments to my heart, and I think too few people REALLY listened to this Song... We always talk about we need to find out who we are, but the truth is You will always be incomplete, and never find yourself until you are lost In Jesus... Period. Lost In Him AGAIN.... that means we have to constantly seek to be lost in Jesus. Because we are in this Body, it is a constant strive to lose who we are until we are translated.
