Over you ! over you !
The lyrics to Freddie & The Dreamers' song "Over You" describe the singer's heartbreak over a failed relationship. Despite still loving their partner, they feel constantly blue and cry over them. However, the singer believes that they are the right one for their partner, and even if they have to wait a year, they will be waiting for their partner to change their mind and come back to them. The lyrics express a sense of hopelessness and longing, as the singer cannot move on from their love and remains stuck in their sadness.
At its core, "Over You" is a classic breakup song, reflecting the universal experience of heartbreak and the pain of unrequited love. The lyrics are simple but powerful, conveying a deep sense of loss and longing. The song became a hit for Freddie & The Dreamers, showcasing their ability to deliver catchy, upbeat tunes that still resonated with audiences.
