Can’t imagine how magical this moment must have been back then. Two horror icons coming together in one movie. And this whole press event seemed incredible and so immersive

I remember it. My cousins & I went to see it. We were still young to even drink but, we managed somehow to sneak in liquor in the movie theater. When they took out freddy from the dream world, it was on! People were cheering. Everyone was "drum rolling" with their feet against the floor. It was a dope night. Btw we tried to rob the poster from the bus stops. But the glass was like double glassed. If that makes sense. We threw a cement block through it but it was sealed with more glass. We just ran away. We didn't want to get in trouble. It was a black out but we couldn't break the whole glass.

Sensacional, além de ter sido muito engraçado na hora da apresentação e da encarada.

The fact that nobody was screaming for Jason is sad..

What it could be is the actor change. Robert England had been Freddy in every Nightmare movie and thus had a connection with the audience. Jason on the other hand had changed actors several times, but the most favourite actor, Kane Hodder (who had worked on the last few films in the Friday series before FvJ), was replaced by the studio. Also not to mention that people might "connect" more with the guy that makes jokes and plays around than the guy who just stands there menacingly.
