Ass so fat, need a lap dance
I'm in that white ghost chasin' Pac-Man
Hundred out the lot, I be leaning that Ciroc
Hundred large bring a mop
Cars tinted like Barack
Got a Brinks truck in my pocket
Thirty chains on my collar
Two drops, no mileage

Three beans I'm on that (huah)
We pop a molly (huah) she bus' it open (huah)
She seen the 'gatti (huah) that pussy soaking

Don't stop, pop that, don't stop
Pop that pop that pop that

Don't stop, pop that, don't stop
Pop that pop that pop that
Don't stop, pop that, don't stop
Pop that pop that pop that (what ya twerkin' wit'?)

Shout out to Uncle Luke

REAL 6ICKO “put my money in the grave” is a selfish statement. It’s literally the most selfish thing people have ever done in history. Confirms to me that there is nothing new under the Sun. When one is dead they cannot at all benefit from what they have accumulated. I’m responding to the thinking that wrote such a line, and the thinking that celebrates it.

This type of thinking was the ignorance of ancient rich and powerful classes who would be buried with treasures and even their (living) slaves because they thought that their afterlife would be a continuation of their worldly experience of scummy exploitation. It was a signal of status to other rich and powerful peers, and was premised on the delusion that the hierarchy was divine providence.

I see the same type of thinking here. Drake feels he deserves millions of dollars and he is actually “better” than others because he has such wealth. In fact, it’s simply a result of our capitalist society disproportionately rewarding frivolous activities like music and sports due to their ability to generate consumption on which the system is built upon. That, and the fact that corporations generate more revenue than actual countries (as well as harm) and can distribute wages however they see fit.

That people like this are role models, and lyrics like this taken as gospel truths is disgusting.

Is it healthy to have a life wherein you think everyone else (and those close to you) are undeserving scum who don’t deserve anything,l? How does saying that it’s better to burn the wealth you received from others (for an activity that does not actually benefit people) a thing to celebrate?

It’s a pagan mentality and modern capitalism is a return to barbarism. The only person better than another is one who has better character. Everything else will end and rot away.
