Favourite Song

Listen to the radio - my favourite song
Trying to find one certain book with an attitude
'Cause there are things which are just like you do wish,
After all
Come on baby please please turn it on
'Cause radio plays our favourite song
I wonder what I feel (I feel)
Come on baby please please turn it on
'Cause radio plays our favourite song
I loose my nerve tryin´ to find the words
But no use - that´s all because of You
I would like my coffee black, just like black & white
I should speak all out in a same way too
All confusing feelings also like love & hate
'Cause I´ve been so patient but the situation
Stayed the same
Come on baby please please turn it on
When every word means so much
I can´t get you out of my mind
When every word means so much
You feel like this once in a life
Come on come come on baby please
Come on baby please please turn it
on
The lyrics of Friends' song Favourite Song are a poetic expression of the intense emotions experienced when listening to music. The song begins with the singer waking up in the morning and being greeted by sunshine. They then turn on the radio and listen to their favourite song, hoping to find a book that will match their attitude. The lyrics express a yearning for something that is like the singer, but ultimately elusive. The chorus is a plea to the DJ to keep playing the favourite song on the radio, as it is the only thing that can evoke the intense emotions and feelings that the singer is experiencing.
The second verse continues this theme, expressing the singer's desire for a black coffee and a straightforward way of speaking that matches the black and white colours of the coffee. However, the singer's feelings are anything but straightforward, and they are struggling with a range of emotions, including love and hate. Despite their patience, the situation remains the same, and they cannot find the words to express themselves.
Favourite Song is a beautiful expression of the power of music to evoke complex emotions and feelings. The lyrics are poetic and nuanced, reflecting the singer's struggle to express themselves.
