Into Your outstretched arms I run
Close to Your heart I want to be

Your power and Your love
Out of the darkness, Lord I come
Unto Your glorious light I run
Open my eyes so I can see
All that You had install for me
Your power and Your love
Your glory and Your grace
Your power and Your love
Your glory and Your grace
Let it come
Over me
Let it come
Let if fall
Over me
Let it fall
Oh, Lord just let it flow
Let it flow
Through me
Let it flow
Your power and Your love
Your glory and Your grace
Oh Lord, Your power and Your love
Your glory and Your grace
It's Your glory and grace, Lord
Your glory and grace
Glory and grace
The lyrics to Friends' song, Let Your Love In, are about finding salvation and redemption in the love and grace of God. The opening lines, "Out of the desert, Lord I come, Into Your outstretched arms I run," suggest a journey of faith, where the singer is searching for meaning and purpose in their life. The use of the word "desert" is symbolic, representing the feeling of emptiness and spiritual drought that the person is experiencing.
The lyrics continue with, "Close to Your heart I want to be, Lord, for this emptiness in me" - this line is a direct plea to God to fill the emptiness and longing within the individual. The repeated lines, "Your power and Your love, Your glory and Your grace" reinforce the idea that it is only through the power of God's love and grace that the person will find fulfillment and purpose.
The second verse, "Out of the darkness, Lord I come, Unto Your glorious light I run," explores the theme of redemption, where the individual is emerging from a period of darkness and seeking the light. The lines, "Open my eyes so I can see, All that You had installed for me" suggest a newfound sense of clarity and purpose, with the individual being able to see the opportunities and possibilities that God has in store for them.
The final lines, "Let it flow, through me, Your power and Your love, Your glory, and Your grace," express a desire to be filled with the spirit of God, to let it flow through them and transform them from the inside out. The repetition of the phrase "Your power and Your love, Your glory and Your grace" throughout the song reinforces the central message that it is only through God's love and grace that we can find fulfillment, purpose, and redemption.
