Never Let It Go
Friends Lyrics

To finally find out I'm not shatterproof
I felt secure in what I thought I knew
Guess I picked a bad time to not be over you
Maybe I've known it all along
So was it my fault?
With one more shot I wonder how we'd do
And I won't look back in anger, man
I wish you'd see me now
Well it's alright, just let me go
Well it's alright, just let me go
So you'll never have to say
That you loved me better another way
You left
Was used to having you around
Now I feel my body trembling
In a room absent of sound
And it's been so long
I forgot how to be alone
But still we built up these walls and all
Just to break them down
So I won't look back in anger
But I know that things will never be the same
Anyway
Well it's alright, just let me go
Well it's alright, just let me go
Just let me go
Just let me go
It's true and I
Miss you and I
Promised your mine
Rough year, lost time
Honestly, don't be here for me
You said no lies
Look down, high dive
Honestly, I won't be here for you
So you'll never have to say
That you loved me better another way
The lyrics to Friends At The Falls's song It's Alright Let Me Go tell a story of a person who has been holding on to their past with someone they loved, but ultimately realizes that they need to move on. The opening lines, "Holding onto all that we've been through, to finally find out I'm not shatterproof" sets the tone for the rest of the song. The person thought they were indestructible, but the realization hits that they are not. The lines, "I felt secure in what I thought I knew, guess I picked a bad time to not be over you," convey that the person thought they were ready to move on, but now they are not so sure.
As the song continues, the person realizes that they have always known that they needed to move on. They wonder if it was their fault that the relationship ended, and they think about giving it one more shot. However, in the end, they accept that it's time to let go and move on. The lines, "So you'll never have to say that you loved me better in another way" resonates with anyone who has been in a relationship that didn't work out the way they wanted it to.
The overall mood of the song is melancholic and contemplative. The singer is introspective and questioning, trying to figure out what went wrong in the relationship. The lyrics speak to the common experience of holding on to someone even when you know it's over and the struggle to let go.

In my opinion, ‘Emily’ wasn’t the right girl for Ross. That said, Rachel was completely wrong with going to London. Ross was wrong for making plans with Rachel at the airport in addition to saying her name.
