In 1999, the band independently released their self titled EP (referred to as "The Green Album"). At this time, they were also opening for bands such as Amen, Disturbed, Nickelback and Nothingface.
They later signed with Arista Records, where they released two major label albums in One Nation Under (which features many re-recorded songs from their self titled album) (2001) and My So-Called Life (2003). They had two music videos which are for their songs "Check Ya" and "Smack", both of which can be viewed over on You Tube. Before the recording of My So-Called Life, bassist Rob Ruccia left the band to do production work on other bands, leaving vocalist Jett to record the bass for the album. They later recruited Avi Kopernik to play bass for the group's live shows.
After being dropped by Arista less than a month after the release of My So-Called Life, they went to work preparing for their third album. As time went on, writing music became a chore and Jett with nothing to fall back on, needed to concentrate on a day job to support his family. Joe Pettinato, who already had a construction business, then left the band, and the rest of the group called it quits in 2005. Two songs from the intended album, "Middle of the Road" and "My Own Destiny", can still be streamed on their official PureVolume page.
Although they have not gained widespread popularity within the music community as a whole, they are well recognized both in the Chicago area and among nu metal fans.
Gone

If I'm not back in summerland time
The hell with mine!
Turn away, don't you cry
If I'm not back just sail away
And forget the time!
I turned around but I was already there
And I see your face a million times
Was the timing right?
No you couldn't stay
And turn around
Don't leave me hanging all night long
For you to stay
I'm telling you that I'm as good as (Gone)
Can't we talk just one last time?
I'm finding out it's hard to believe
So many times you've crossed my mind
But your gone, yes you've gone
Give me reasons tell me lies
The truth be told no one to believe
So follow me but don't ask why
That I've Gone,
Yes I've Gone to the Other Side
Pass the day, lonely nights
Don't steal my face it's out of mind
and It's out of sight
I'm on my way, alone inside
If I could just have another wish
Then maybe you wouldn't die
I turned around but I was already there
And I see your face a million times
Don't leave me hanging all night long
For you to stay
I'm finding out it's hard to believe
So many times you've crossed my mind
But your gone, yes you've gone
Give me reasons tell me lies
The truth be told no one to believe
So follow me but don't ask why
That I've Gone,
Yes I've Gone
How could you do this to me?
I'm losing precious time this way
And do you listen to me
Beyond the stars the Other Side begins
I've asked a million questions
Wait for the answers in the wind
I know there's no conclusion
I face myself the Other Side within
The song "Gone" by From Zero is a heartfelt and emotional track that deals with coming to terms with a loved one's passing. The lyrics depict the singer's struggle to accept their loss and move on, while still holding onto memories and unanswered questions. The opening lines urge someone to turn away and not try to bring the singer back if they do not return before "summerland time." The singer seems to suggest that they have moved on to another realm, beyond this world. They ask for someone to sail away and forget about them.
The chorus repeats the phrase "I'm as good as gone," indicating that the singer has accepted their fate and is ready to move on. However, they still hold onto hope that they could talk with their loved one one last time. The second verse continues with the theme of unanswered questions, with the singer asking for reasons or lies in regards to their loved one's passing. They also speak of loneliness and facing themselves on the other side.
Overall, "Gone" is a poignant and sorrowful song about grief and loss. The lyrics explore the emotions and thoughts that come with the death of a loved one, especially the difficulty in accepting and processing such a loss.
