In 1999, the band independently released their self titled EP (referred to as "The Green Album"). At this time, they were also opening for bands such as Amen, Disturbed, Nickelback and Nothingface.
They later signed with Arista Records, where they released two major label albums in One Nation Under (which features many re-recorded songs from their self titled album) (2001) and My So-Called Life (2003). They had two music videos which are for their songs "Check Ya" and "Smack", both of which can be viewed over on You Tube. Before the recording of My So-Called Life, bassist Rob Ruccia left the band to do production work on other bands, leaving vocalist Jett to record the bass for the album. They later recruited Avi Kopernik to play bass for the group's live shows.
After being dropped by Arista less than a month after the release of My So-Called Life, they went to work preparing for their third album. As time went on, writing music became a chore and Jett with nothing to fall back on, needed to concentrate on a day job to support his family. Joe Pettinato, who already had a construction business, then left the band, and the rest of the group called it quits in 2005. Two songs from the intended album, "Middle of the Road" and "My Own Destiny", can still be streamed on their official PureVolume page.
Although they have not gained widespread popularity within the music community as a whole, they are well recognized both in the Chicago area and among nu metal fans.
The Other Side

Yes I'm the one; yes I'm the one
Who decides when times aren't right?
Who's left out well I', left out
Don't try
Just leave it
It's all bitter change
Give it all back to fall
Setting the course for an ever after
Standing tall be my all
Setting the course for an ever after
I want to be
I'll never walk alone
When time is on my side
What comes around goes around
In time, in time
She's the only time spent right
Let's talk it out
We'll talk it out
'Cause I'm the one you're waiting for
Yes I'm the one yes I'm the one
I don't believe it's right
And all the answers will
Never keep me warm at night
When I am by myself
Back on the run
Enraged with the other side
Deliver us all
From dreams that I want to hide
Back on the run
It's safe just to be alive
Consider the one that's left
On the otherside
Everything else that grabs
When you're under
I'll always win alone let alone
Give it all back to fall
Standing tall be my all
Setting the course for an ever after
I'll never walk alone
When time is on my side
The lyrics to From Zero's song The Other Side speak to the frustration of feeling left out and the desire to be in control of one's own destiny. The singer asserts that they are the one in charge of their life, even when times aren't right. The lines "Don't try, just leave it, it's all bitter change" suggest a weariness with trying to change things and an acceptance that sometimes things just don't work out. But the singer also expresses a wish to stay the same and give it all back to fall, indicating a desire for stability and a refusal to be buffeted by life's ups and downs.
The chorus takes a more upbeat tone, with the singer expressing a desire to stand tall and setting a course for an ever after. The line "I'll never walk alone when time is on my side" is particularly powerful, suggesting a confidence that things will ultimately work out if one is patient and persistent. The lyrics also touch on themes of love and relationships, with the singer expressing a desire to talk things out and acknowledging that it's not always easy to find the right person. Overall, the song seems to be a plea for empowerment and the belief that one can overcome any obstacle if they stay true to themselves.
