In 2007, using a flashlight and map, they eventually found current drummer - David Bäckström. With a wide range of musical influences and several years of experience as a musician (well, as a drummer at least ;)), David gave the band a real push towards a brighter future.
A year went by as the bandmembers continued to perfect their songwriting skills and hitting stages all over Sweden. The word of Frontback slowly started to reach all corners of the nation...
During the spring of 2008 Frontback finished at 4th place among 250 bands in the nationwide music competition "Rockkarusellen", getting great reviews by swedish Radio P3. Truly a memorable moment and a milestone for the band. The following summer Frontback also made their first of several appearances at Sweden Rock Festival, the biggest outdoor festival in Sweden.
In december 2009, the young and very talented Axel Graneskog joined the band on lead guitar. His fine guitar skills and great personality fitted very well within the group. Everyone now felt that Frontback was a complete band for, perhaps, the first time ever.
During 2010, Frontback had the honour of supporting some really cool bands, such as Status Quo, Freedom Call, Bullet, CrashDïet, among others... A fantastic experience for the bandmembers and a lot positive reviews in the press.
With an equal amount of will and determination from each member of the band, this group wants to create an original sound, be one with the music, be FRONTBACK. With this in mind, the band delivers live performances with a huge amount of heart and soul. Frontback belongs on stage and is ready for the future!
