2) Frozen Ghost is Barry Wynn, a South African psytrance producer who has been releasing music since 2004.
3) Psychedelic guitar heavy rock from Swiss musician Helmut Müller who released the album Nature Of Magic on Black Rills records in 1979.
1.) Frozen Ghost was a Canadian rock band that formed in 1985 by Arnold Lanni and Wolf Hassel, who were previously with the band Sheriff. "Should I See", an anti-censorship song, became a minor hit in the United States, reaching 69th position on Billboard's Hot 100 singles in 1987. The video for that song was nominated for Best Video of the Year at the 1987 Juno Awards, but lost to Glass Tiger's "Someday".
On their final album, "Shake Your Spirit" there were two official additions to the band. John Bouvette, who was on drums and percussion, and Phil X who did some vocals, and played the guitar. Phil X was also credited on the album "Nice Place To Visit" for being a guitarist, but was not considered an official band member until the final album was released.
Frozen Ghost disbanded in 1993.
2.) Frozen Ghost is one of the new breed of of psy-trance producers to hail from the windy city of Cape Town, South Africa. Having grown up listening to Punk rock, Thrash and Hip hop, Barry’s attention then ventured into the more experimental side of electronic music, where he found his true passion in psy-trance. Combining raw elements of serious groove and aggression, meshed with spine-chilling synthetic atmospheric tones and undertones, demented samples and creative percussion, set him up to make the trade mark name that is Frozen Ghost. Since his first single, released on Afrogalactic Records, late 2004, followed by his debut album “Just One Bite”, the distinct cutting edge sound from Frozen Ghost has morphed, manipulated and marveled dance floors in countries such as Israel, Japan and South Africa. Having collaborated with and number of different producers (such as Hiyarant, Zion Linguist, B55, Lost & Found), and following a number of releases on labels such as MMD Records, Yabai Records, Noize Conspiracy Records and Vision Records, as well as compiling the MMD compilation, appropriately called “Cold Conclusion”, his second album was released on Yabai Records September 2007, and was entitled “Edible Technique”. Since then, he has continued to experiment with all facets of music and sound, developing the ever-evolving signature sound of Frozen Ghost which has captured the inner minds of the listeners at home and on the dance floors worldwide.
Truth in Lies
Frozen Ghost Lyrics

By the lies about our darkened past
And the ugly truths we try to hide
Careful not to ever hurt our precious pride
And the lies that we deny but in the end
Be the twisted truths we die to defend
There is truth is every word
Spoken and heard
Don't we know there is truth in lies
Honesty in every lie
Hearts and desire
There's truth in lies
Left concealed
Empty secrets
Never revealed
But after all that's said
And all is done
Nothing's lost
But there is nothing ever won
And the fabrications we despise
Are the twisted truths that we devise
Oh there is truth in lies
There is truth in every word
Spoken and heard
Oh don't we know there is truth in lies
Honesty in every lie
Hearts and desire
Why we think each other all
But we all lie to put up our facades
Though why we need each other is trade
With all the games we play
And all the love we save
Tell me, tell me don't we know
Oh there is truth in lies
Oh there is truth in lies
Oh there is truth in lies
There is truth in every word
Oh there is truth in lies
Honesty in every word
The song "Truth in Lies" by Frozen Ghost is a commentary on the complicated relationship we have with truth and lies. The lyrics suggest that our dark past is something we prefer to keep hidden, and we go to great lengths to protect our pride. We deny lies and fabrications but end up defending twisted truths in the end. The song suggests that there is truth in every lie, and every word (spoken and heard) contains honesty.
The song brings to light an interesting perspective. It is suggesting that lies do not always have to be a cover-up; they can actually reflect the truth. The singer seems to be pointing out that we lie to each other all the time - to put up facades and play different games. But even in these lies, we are looking for something from one another, longing to connect, and not being completely honest.
Frozen Ghost's "Truth in Lies" is a lyrical interpretation of a universal theme, and it does an excellent job of capturing the complexity of truth and lies. The song forces us to consider the reasons behind our dishonesty and the potential truth within a lie.
