The Fall
Frozen Land Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In the end what keeps us falling
Is our need to know our calling
What if we just trust that it's our destiny?
When we'll find it we'll be fallen
We act like it doesn't matter
Our voices

Overall Meaning

In 'The Fall', Frozen Land is describing the human struggle to find purpose and meaning in life. The first two lines suggest that the fear of not knowing one's purpose is what ultimately causes people to continue to struggle and fall. However, the following lines suggest that instead of trying to control and manipulate one's destiny, one should simply trust that it will be revealed in time. The theme of trust and faith in the unknown is apparent throughout the song's lyrics as the artist suggests that holding onto a sense of purpose and destiny can help to ground us when we are falling or uncertain.

Frozen Land also highlights that many of us tend to downplay the importance of discovering our purpose in life, pretending as if it doesn’t matter when in actuality, it does matter. The final line of the song, “Our voices” is especially poignant, as it suggests that part of discovering one's purpose in life is to find one's voice and use it to communicate with the world. The lyric's emphasis on trust, faith, and communication serves to inspire listeners to seek out opportunities for self-discovery and growth, knowing that their destiny will ultimately be revealed to them.

This movie was genuinely upsetting... 10/10 would recommend. The scene when Joe is holding Parker's face directly in front of his so that she can't see the carnage below them really got to me. If anybody reading this really liked The Descent, you should watch this. Completely different setting and challenges, but similar premise, and scary for a lot of the same reasons. The elements can get you, man.

I had full blown panic attack from that scene. Wasn't ok for few hours.

Don’t spoil it, man lol. Some people could be coming to watch the trailer to see if they’ll like the movie.

Autumn Martin

@Chase Valenti Exactly what did this spoil? The fact that there is carnage? Lol

Chase Valenti

@Autumn Martin, he basically spoils the fact that he dies and/or that there’s an attack like this on Dan in particular. I mean, I think everyone knew going into it that at least one of the three would die, but they don’t know which one.

As a ski liftee we all watch this together every winter to wrap-up our evacuation training. Scary stuff.
