Frozen Plasma's debut single, "Hypocrite," was released November 24,2005; their first album, "Artificial", was released April 25, 2006 through Infacted Recordings in Europe and through Nilaihah Records in the U.S.
Felix Marc (Vocals)
Felix started to create music in 1994. The initial pieces consisted exclusively of synthesizer -, drumcomputer and sampled sounds, which were steered via a software sequencer. Since 1994, there have been different stylistic changes and developments from Hard Trance, to House and Rave and later to a symbiosis of Dream House and Trance.
The developments in the creation of his music went hand in hand with a regular commitment as DJ. First limited to parties and school happenings, he soon became a resident DJ in local clubs, which gave him the opportunity to present his own material to a broad public.
In 2001, Felix joined efforts with his long-time friend Torben Wendt in his Dark Wave group Diorama as producer, background singer and live keyboard player. This co-operation brought forward some amazing musical pieces and experiences. The latest release is called A Different Life which is already their 5th album.
During a support tour with Diorama for VNV Nation in April 2005, Felix connected to Vasi Vallis who was playing live keyboards for VNV. In the aftermath, they decided to start a collaboration with Felix being the lead singer.
Vasi Vallis (Songwriting, Lyrics, Production)
Vasi's first project appeared in 1986. His minimal techno/acid project Galatea became a well known name in the Swiss underground scene. After several Acid productions for Galatea and some co-productions for popular Swiss, Italian and German underground DJ's, his style changed into the early minimal techno, when techno was underground and not commercial music. Vasi became an in-house producer for several techno labels and worked as a talent scout for Sony Music Switzerland. In 1994, he produced his first pop/eurodance project, Provocation, which had a top 10 hit in Switzerland and top 50 in the Spanish and Italian club/dance charts. 1997 he produced some album tracks as a "ghost producer" for several major labels. The more he worked with majors, the more he disliked the way they treated their bands and he missed the emotion and passion for music within this highly commerce-focused industry. The following years, he focused on the setup of a new studio, which gave him the possibility to work independently from labels or other producers. In 2001 he discovered bands like VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk, Neuroticfish and Assemblage 23 which combined techno/trance elements with melancholic chords and vocals. He decided to start his own project and found a singer (Henrik Iversen) who's voice fitted perfectly to his new sound. The band was called NamNamBulu and was founded in the summer of 2002. In March 2003 he signed a deal with Infacted Recordings, a new label founded by Torben Schmidt. Torben had the ideas, vision and passion for music Vasi was looking for. The first longplayer "Distances" became a huge success in the scene and NNB played about 40 gigs all over the world. Vasi produced more than 25 remixes for bands like Suicide Commando, [:SITD:], Lights of Euphoria, Tom Wax or Absurd Minds. In April 2005, he joined VNV Nation as live keyboarder and played the Matter and Form tour as well as the Mera Luna Festival in Germany. In June 2005, Henrik left NamNamBulu due to personal issues. Just 2 months later, Vasi released his industrial Project Reaper which was in the German Alternative Top Ten for 6 weeks and reached number 1 on the Dutch Alternative Charts. Vasi then met Felix on a VNV Nation tour, and the two musicians embarked on a journey that would become Frozen Plasma.

Frozen Plasma Lyrics

I am floating down the causeway
To the sound of a silent stream
In the middle of nowhere
Dancing inside my mind and in my head
She is moving like a flower
And the touch of her lips on mine
Migrate in the search for another place
Another dream to delve into
It's no good to hang behind
With your future at hand
Dominated by a force that is not mine
In the search of realistic tendencies
I'll return to this place again
To see your quivering body
And as our thoughts collide
I wish my self away
So far away
Into this haven
This corrupted place that we call home
I curse the moment that I left you a million times
For now I'm safe
For now I'm safe
But what about tomorrow?
Helpless we are lost inside ourselves
Chasing fake realities
Once your fate has turned around
Who will you turn to yourself?
Disillusioned I am breaking out of here
Leaving everything behind
Carry your smile within my heart
While I melt into the night
And as our thoughts collide
I wish my self away
So far away
Into this haven
This corrupted place that we call home
I curse the moment that I left you a million times
For now I'm safe
For now I'm safe
But what about tomorrow?
The lyrics to Frozen Plasma's song, "Home," capture a powerful sense of restlessness and longing for an idealized, peaceful refuge. The opening lines evoke a sense of calm before the storm, a moment of stillness and serenity that precedes a tumultuous change. The singer is floating, suspended in this moment, with only the faint sound of a stream to break the silence.
The second verse introduces a love interest, who is described as moving like a flower and touching the singer's lips. This moment of intimacy is bittersweet, as it is followed by another "lonely departure" and a search for a new dream or place to explore. The sense of restlessness and longing continues in the next verse, as the singer struggles against a dominating force to find a more realistic path forward.
The chorus ties together the central themes of the song, with the singer wishing to escape from the corrupted place that is their current home. This sense of displacement and dissatisfaction is compounded by the fear of what tomorrow will bring - even if the singer is safe now, there is always a sense of uncertainty and vulnerability. The final verse brings the song full circle, as the singer grapples with their own sense of helplessness and disillusionment, ultimately finding peace by carrying their lover's smile within their heart.
Overall, "Home" is a powerful exploration of the human need for stability and connection in an ever-changing world. The haunting melody and bittersweet lyrics convey a deep sense of longing and restlessness, while the recurring motif of a corrupted home underscores the theme of internal and external struggle.

Peaceful like an ocean before the storm
I feel calm for now but I know things can change suddenly
I am floating down the causeway
I'm drifting without a specific direction
To the sound of a silent stream
The only thing guiding me is the silence around me
In the middle of nowhere
I'm lost and alone, far from any familiar place
She is moving like a flower
She is graceful, delicate, and beautiful
And the touch of her lips on mine
But even moments of happiness are fleeting and temporary
Another lonely departure
I'm leaving again, and it's just as hard as it always is
Migrate in the search for another place
I'm constantly moving to find something better
Another dream to delve into
I'm always searching for something new and exciting
It's no good to hang behind
I can't stay in one place for too long or I'll miss out on new experiences
With your future at hand
I have to keep looking forward and not dwell on the past
Dominated by a force that is not mine
It feels like I'm being controlled by outside forces beyond my control
In the search of realistic tendencies
I'm trying to be practical and logical in my choices
I'll return to this place again
I may come back to where I started, but I'll be changed
To see your quivering body
I'll see you again, but it will be bittersweet
And as our thoughts collide
When we're together, we're on the same wavelength
I wish my self away
But sometimes it's overwhelming and I just want to escape
So far away
To a distant place where everything is perfect
Into this haven
Where I feel safe and comfortable
This corrupted place that we call home
But the reality is that nowhere is perfect
I curse the moment that I left you a million times
I regret leaving and wish I hadn't done it
For now I'm safe
But being alone also has its benefits
But what about tomorrow?
I'm worried about what the future holds
Helpless we are lost inside ourselves
We're all trying to find our way, but it's not easy
Chasing fake realities
We're often misled by illusions of what we think we want
Once your fate has turned around
When things change unexpectedly
Who will you turn to yourself?
You have to rely on yourself in those moments
Disillusioned I am breaking out of here
I'm tired of feeling dissatisfied and ready to leave
Leaving everything behind
I'm starting fresh and leaving my old life behind
Carry your smile within my heart
But I'll always remember the good times that we shared
While I melt into the night
As I disappear into the darkness of the unknown
