1. Fruition (Portland, OR) has been showcasing their captivating brand of Folk, Soul, Grass and Rock 'n Roll to the West Coast since 2008. In the last few years they have expanded to the greater US scene, playing theaters, bars, street corners and Music Festivals all over the country (SXSW, High Sierra Music Fest, Yarmony Grass, String Summit, Oregon Country Fair, Omaha Summerfest and many more.)
This year they're hitting it even harder - they opened for Railroad Earth at the Crystal Ballroom (Portland, OR) for NYE, and are venturing out on a several-month tour that will hit all corners of the USA. They've shared stages with a range of popular bands- ALO, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain Stringband, Scott Law, Everclear, Railroad Earth, Furthur, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Leftover Salmon, Elephant Revival, Hot Buttered Rum, Delhi 2 Dublin, Infamous Stringdusters, Great American Taxi, Danny Barnes, Head for the Hills, and many many more.
In June of 2013, they will be putting out a new full-length album that will surely thrust them from opening-slots and small stages to headlining gigs and large capacity venues.

2. Having recently supported The View, Larrikin Love, The Rifles, The Modern and The Holloways, Fruition are taking great pleasure in giving their music to the masses. They take to the stage with a great energy and always entertain. All from a little village called Pirton the boys strive to bring a sense of community and passion to the procedings
The band has worked hard on creating their own style influenced by rather than sounding like the bands that have inspired the individual members. They also work hard in the studio to make the tunes released give people the same energy they feel at the live shows. Not content with what they have got they are going out to grab everyone and get them jumping.

Fruition Lyrics

Down by the ocean and the cities pretty lights
Well the wind blows soft and the fog was gentle
And I hear the sirens ringin' in my head all night
Oh daddy you know I been lyin'
Oh mama you know that I'm tryin'
It's easy to think you know,
Sometimes it feels all right and sometimes it's all wrong
Well I got so drunk I forgot my mama's birthday
And I got so high that I lost my coat
And I smoke so much I can barely sing
And I'm the richest man alive even though I'm broke
Oh daddy you know I been lyin'
Oh mamma you know that I'm tryin'
It's easy to think you know
When you've come so far along
Sometimes it feels all right and sometimes it's all wrong
Now you get what you want if you're willing to work for it
And you've got all you need if you reach out your hand
And you'll learn if you ever have the courage to be noone
And if you don't, these words you'll never understand
Oh daddy you know I been lyin'
Oh mamma you know that I'm tryin'
It's easy to think you know
When you've come so far along
Sometimes it feels alright and sometimes it's all wrong
Sometimes it feels alright and sometimes it's all wrong
Sometimes it feels alright and sometimes it's all wrong
The song "Lloyd's Song" by Fruition is a soulful and introspective reflection on life, its struggles, and the human condition. The song is about a person sitting on a rooftop in Oakland, California, contemplating the ups and downs of their life. The person describes the gentle wind and fog, as well as the ringing sirens in their head that keep them up all night. The lyrics are personal and vulnerable, as the person acknowledges their struggles with addiction, lying, and trying to please their parents by acknowledging their efforts to change.
Throughout the song, the person struggles to come to terms with who they are, and what life has in store for them. They remember forgetting their mother’s birthday, losing their coat, and smoking too much. Yet, they also acknowledge that they are the richest person alive, despite being broke. The song’s bridge encourages listeners to work hard and reach out if they need help, learn from their experiences, and sometimes be nobody instead of trying to please society. The song's chorus repeats several times, reminding listeners that life can feel both right and wrong at different times, and people must navigate their struggles, hoping to find the right path.
Overall, Fruition's "Lloyd's Song" is a moving and relatable song that speaks to the human experience. It acknowledges the truth, both the good and the bad, and encourages listeners to be honest with themselves and others to find their path in life.
