Bak sevda bahçesi var orada
Çok çok uzak değil
Sende birkaç ay
Bence birgün
Bir kanadım olsa
Uçup uçup bulutları sererdim
Ne dünya dursa bile ben hep böyleyim
Seni soluduğum rüyamdayım
Sanan inandığım bahardayım
The lyrics to Funda Arar's song Ben Hep Böyleyim express the singer's longing for someone who is not within their immediate reach. The first stanza reveals the singer's wish for the person they're addressing to hear them, and the possibility of finding a "love garden" together that's not too far away. The singer then goes on to express the hope that they could spend just a few months together, but for at least one day they would be able to fly together and reach the clouds with a single wing if they had to.
The second stanza of the song expresses the continuation of the singer's desire for the person they're addressing. They ask the person to listen out for them in case they return to the same place they were left behind, and that they won't ever change their love - they will always be the same person. The song's final verse expresses the dreamy quality of the singer's desire, likening themselves to a springtime daydream that the person they're addressing has breathed in and is now a part of.
In essence, the song speaks to the human desire for connection, joy, and the possibility of being close to someone who matters to us. The use of natural imagery, such as the love garden and clouds, adds to the song's dreamy quality, emphasising the sense of longing and the desire for something that feels a little out of reach.
