Consisting of Brian James, Mik McKeogh, Dar Grant and Greg McCarthy, the band formed in 2008.
A shared love of epic, distorted guitars, blistering harmonius pop, art rock and electronica led to the band spending the best part of two years holed up in a disused office space in deepest North County Dublin, writing, rehearsing and at times venturing out to play as special guests for Franz Ferdinand, Passion Pit, The Maccabees, Local Natives amongst other.
More recently they have just recorded and finished their debut album with acclaimed producer Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths) which will be released on June 4th (Model Citizen via PIAS).

Pretty sure the man in the hat is supposed to be Jack. From what I remember reading, they never rescued him because maybe he fled until they gave up on finding him and brought the other's home. This is him and Piggy, hence the one in the mask falling down the hill, the mask symbolizing a dead pig, the fall symbolizing his death in the book.

That's what I thought at first, but I think their videos (and songs of course by that definition) are all connected somehow. Watch the videos for Health and Hands Down By Your Side..both of those vids also have the same masked child characters.

Maybe the hunter kid is the younger man in the hat , and he ran away as a kid and toughen ed up (hunting ) then in 'all those friendly people' the man in the hat has kidnapped his friend because she was too absorbed into modern ways so he forces her to run away into the sea to see how beautiful her surroundings which she took for granted actually is-and the pig men represented all the bad people in the world (thats why he killed them at the end ) so he was protecting her instead of the opposite

Though maybe your right, and the pigs were bad people just cheering him on because they thought he was one of them. Maybe he tried to kill the girl to protect her and she ended up not wanting to be helped or not knowing, and not liking the 'protection'.

Yeah the three videos are definitely related, but I'm not sure how Health plays into it. Its hard to tell with only two characters. My first thought is maybe this video is the leader as a child on his first kill or something. Or it could just be an example of what happens on the island they are on.

My thoughts: They were brothers playing a game, and when the younger brother(the one being chased) fell down the hill he died. Watching the death of his little brother drove him insane, causing him to be the cereal killer we see in all the other videos.... not sure if i'm right that's just my interpretation of the video......

I can't clearly see, but I think, that the boy, who is hunting the other boy with mask has blue eyes (and the leader has blue eyes too). I also think that this video may be about childhood of the leader. And in "Hands Down" video, when the woman is going to kill him, he is not smiling, but he isn't scared too. Maybe he realizes, that he finally loses?

To me this like an alternate ending of "Lord of the flies" if Jack managed to kill Ralph. That's about it.. cuz really.. how did more little boys just appeared on the third vid and in the second vid "All those friendly people" he even had a car \('-')/ Fan fiction I suppose
