In 2007, the band announced the release of a career-spanning retrospective called "Don't look back", to be accompanied by a tour. Following the completion of that tour in late August 2008, the group entered an indefinite hiatus.
The brothers Wingenfelder reformed as Wingenfelder & Wingenfelder and have released three albums and a b-sides album, with plans record a fourth in 2017. Rainer Schumann released a solo album under the name Schumann. Christof Stein formed Wohnraumhelden and has released three albums under that name.
In 2016, the band reformed for their 30th anniversary, and released a new track. Additional new tracks were included in the band's new retrospective "30 - The Ultimate Best Of Collection."

Then She Said
Fury In The Slaughterhouse Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Being myself so near
And thought never that nice things hurt
And all ended here
Click, click, click said the man
I remember him so well
He said "come on, you got to be careful
Cause her heaven could be your hell"
Then she said....then she said
And I dream that she someday might come back
P.s. are her initials and
Sometimes they gonna make me cry
But I don't believe that this is the reason
That I sing p.s. goodbye
5,6,7,8,9,10 this is o.k.with me
And I cry later then
And I don't believe that all colours are gone
Cause the rest is grey and this is better than none
Then she said..... then she said
And I dream that she someday might come back
Then she said
She said rock'n roll is really dead
Then she said
You're never leaving this head
The lyrics to Fury In The Slaughterhouse's song Then She Said suggest a story of a man who sees a woman at a cafe and is immediately drawn to her. However, he is warned by someone to be careful as what seems like heaven could end up being hell. Despite this warning, he is still captivated by the woman and dreams of her returning to him. The lines "P.s. are her initials and / Sometimes they gonna make me cry" suggest that this woman has had a significant impact on the man, likely through a past relationship. The man seems to be struggling with his emotions and although he may cry later, he still finds some comfort in the idea of the woman coming back to him.
The chorus of the song repeats the line "Then she said" several times, possibly referencing the woman's own words or thoughts. The lyrics "She said rock'n roll is really dead / You're never leaving this head" could suggest that the woman has a cynical view of life or love and that her words have stuck with the man. Despite this, he is still holding on to the hope that she may come back to him.
Overall, the lyrics of Then She Said tell a story of longing, heartbreak, and hope. The man is struggling with his feelings and is haunted by the memory of the woman. Despite warnings and possible negativity from the woman herself, he cannot help but hold on to the possibility of a reunion.
