In 2007, the band announced the release of a career-spanning retrospective called "Don't look back", to be accompanied by a tour. Following the completion of that tour in late August 2008, the group entered an indefinite hiatus.
The brothers Wingenfelder reformed as Wingenfelder & Wingenfelder and have released three albums and a b-sides album, with plans record a fourth in 2017. Rainer Schumann released a solo album under the name Schumann. Christof Stein formed Wohnraumhelden and has released three albums under that name.
In 2016, the band reformed for their 30th anniversary, and released a new track. Additional new tracks were included in the band's new retrospective "30 - The Ultimate Best Of Collection."

Time to Wonder
Fury In The Slaughterhouse Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And we wait until it's too late
We always move in seconds in a world of hours and days
We've got bones and blood
Is this all what we've got
I thought there was a brain but maybe I just thought in vain
And this is not the time to wonder
And this is not the time to sleep while we fight
And this is not the time to die
Realities and dreams
Reality is not what it seems
It's not the way we want it it's just the way it gotta be
We've got love and hate
But we can't estimate
What's the right solution to kill the illusion of this world
And this is not the time to wonder
And this is not the time to cry
And this is not the time to sleep while we fight
And this is not the time to die
And this is not the time to wonder
'cause this is just a time to fear
Don't worry about the meaning don't worry 'bout the world
It's the question how to see clear
That's the time
That's the time
That's the time
Oh yes that's the time
We've got time to wait
And we wait until it's too late
We always move in seconds in a world of hours and days
We've got bones and blood
Is this all what we've got
I thought there was a brain but maybe I just thought in vain
And this is not the time to wonder
And this is not the time to cry
And this is not the time to sleep while we fight
And this is not the time to die
And this is not the time to wonder
'cause this is just a time to fear
Don't worry about the meaning don't worry 'bout the world
It's the question how to see clear
That's the time, oh, oh
That's the time, oh, oh
Go
And this is not the time to wonder
And this is not the time to cry
And this is not the time to sleep while we fight
And this is not the time to die
And this is not the time to wonder
'cause this is just a time to fear
Don't worry about the meaning don't worry 'bout the world
It's the question how to see clear
Oh this is not the time to wonder
And this is not the time to cry
And this is not the time to sleep while we fight
And this is not the time to die
That's the time
The lyrics are a reflection of the fast-paced nature of modern life and the tendency for humans to prioritize short-term gratification over long-term planning. The lines "We always move in seconds in a world of hours and days" and "We've got love and hate but we can't estimate what's the right solution to kill the illusion of this world" emphasize the lack of perspective and foresight that characterizes our society. The chorus line "And this is not the time to wonder, 'cause this is just a time to fear" suggests that people are too preoccupied with survival and practical concerns to ponder existential questions.
The lyrics contrast reality and dreams, suggesting that the former is often unsatisfying and inescapable. The line "Reality is not what it seems, it's not the way we want it it's just the way it gotta be" implies that humans are powerless to change their circumstances. The call to action in the chorus, "don't worry about the meaning, don't worry 'bout the world, it's the question how to see clear," encourages listeners to focus on gaining clarity and perspective rather than worrying about abstract concepts like meaning and purpose.
Overall, the lyrics convey a sense of urgency and encourage listeners to reflect on the priorities and values that guide their lives.

Mein absoluter Lieblingssong.
Auch nach so vielen Jahren.
Wenn ich die ersten Töne höre und ich auf der Autobahn fahre,
Lautstärke bis zum Anschlag, mitgrölen und dann Bleifuß.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Danke, Fury....
