After releasing a series of moderately successful mixtapes between 2010 and 2011, Future signed a major label deal with Epic Records and fellow American rapper Rocko's A1 Recordings, which helped launch his own label imprint Freebandz. Future subsequently began working on his debut studio album "Pluto," and in April 2012 released the album to positive reviews. The album spawned five singles, all of which charted on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was later re-released in November, as "Pluto 3D." His second studio album "Honest," was released on April 22, 2014, and is also performing with his group Freeband Gang. He released his highly anticipated third studio album, "DS2," on July 16, 2015. The Atlanta rapper also released several mixtapes during 2015, "Beast Mode" in January, "56 Nights" in March, and "What a Time to Be Alive (with Drake)" in September. Future released "Purple Reign" in January 2016. The 13-track mixtape was executive produced by Metro Boomin and DJ Esco, with additional production from Southside, Zaytoven, and more.

"Move That Dope" by Future featuring Pharrell Williams, Pusha T, and Casino, is a song about dealing cocaine and making money, highlighting the glamorous and dangerous aspects of the drug game. The title refers to the act of selling cocaine, using "dope" as a euphemism for the drug. The song's beat, produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, is intense and fast-paced, using heavy bass and electronic sounds to create a sense of urgency and excitement.
The first verse, delivered by Future, describes the process of preparing and selling cocaine, using various street jargon such as "whippin' the yam" and "re-rockin' the dope." The chorus emphasizes the need for a young dealer to "move that dope," reaffirming the importance of quick and steady profits. The second verse, performed by Pusha T, details his expertise in the drug game and his willingness to sell cocaine for the rest of his life, even if it means risking his own safety. Pharrell Williams delivers the bridge with a disjointed verse about his fashion sense and his connections to the drug world. The final verse, rapped by Casino, reinforces the theme of moving large amounts of cocaine through a network of dealers.
Overall, "Move That Dope" portrays a romanticized and gritty vision of the drug trade, highlighting its dangers and rewards. Through its use of slang and vivid imagery, the song paints a picture of a dangerous but lucrative underworld where one's street credibility and profits are constantly at stake.
