After releasing a series of moderately successful mixtapes between 2010 and 2011, Future signed a major label deal with Epic Records and fellow American rapper Rocko's A1 Recordings, which helped launch his own label imprint Freebandz. Future subsequently began working on his debut studio album "Pluto," and in April 2012 released the album to positive reviews. The album spawned five singles, all of which charted on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was later re-released in November, as "Pluto 3D." His second studio album "Honest," was released on April 22, 2014, and is also performing with his group Freeband Gang. He released his highly anticipated third studio album, "DS2," on July 16, 2015. The Atlanta rapper also released several mixtapes during 2015, "Beast Mode" in January, "56 Nights" in March, and "What a Time to Be Alive (with Drake)" in September. Future released "Purple Reign" in January 2016. The 13-track mixtape was executive produced by Metro Boomin and DJ Esco, with additional production from Southside, Zaytoven, and more.

Mexicano, I'm workin' like I'm Mexicano
New persona, I'm movin' on from Ferragamo
Get the llama, I party with the real Madonna (yeah)
Beat the odds, do numbers and remain humble (Future)
Drop-top Porsches, I'm so used to this (yeah)
I know where I'm from and I got used to this
Mansion in the hills, I got used to this (Future)
Psycho booty bitches, I got used to this
This ice floodin' my wrist, I done got used to this
Tropicana bitches, I got all kinda flavors
Sellin' dope all my life, I can't do minimum wage (nah)
Dirty-dirty money, I got used to this (gang)
I give you my whole heart 'til it ain't nothin' to give (Future)
You know how far we came if you know where we been (Freebandz)
How many niggas you know can hop in the Benz?
Be honest to yourself, don't you never pretend (tell 'em)
Don't ever play yourself, know when it all begins (you know)
I had put my back against the wall (and what?)
Tell me that I don't deserve to ball
Mexicano, I'm workin' like I'm Mexicano
New persona, I'm movin' on from Ferragamo
Get the llama, I party with the real Madonna
Beat the odds, do numbers and remain humble (yeah)
Drop-top Porsches, I'm so used to this
Smokin' out the pound, I'm so used to this
I know where I'm from and I got used to this
Mansion in the hills, I got used to this
Lambo' come alive, man, I'm used to this
No one looks surprised cause we used to this
I'ma make sure that we get used to this
Treat my brother's kids like they one of my kids
Never lookin' back on it, we did what we did
Could never find the time for the people I miss
Thought they had my back against the wall
Tell me that I don't deserve to ball
Well, then tell me who deserve it
Eyes gettin' low but I'm still observin', I see you lurkin'
Never see me out in person, I'm always workin'
Money on your head if you make a nigga nervous
Never made a move out here unless I was certain
Tatted on me, but this shit is deeper than the surface
I'm with everyone that I was here with in the first place
Makin' sure that they all good before they close the curtain
Mexicano, I'm workin' like I'm Mexicano
New persona, I'm movin' on from Ferragamo
Get the llama, I party with the real Madonna (yeah)
Beat the odds, do numbers and remain humble (Future)
Drop-top Porsches, I'm so used to this
Smokin' out the pound, I'm so used to this
I know where I'm from and I got used to this
Mansion in the hills, I got used to this (Future)
Oh-oh-oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh
The song "Used to This" by Future featuring Drake is a testament to the rappers' success and how they've become accustomed to the lavish lifestyle that comes with it. The chorus is a repetition of the things the artists have gotten used to, from dropping top-of-the-line Porsches to smoking large quantities of weed to having mansions in the hills. The verses include Shoutouts to Dirty Money and Tropicana Bitches and talk about their journey to success, including selling drugs and having to put their backs against the wall to achieve their goals. They both assert their hard work and dedication in working towards their dreams, telling listeners to remain humble even when they reach the top.
The phrase "new persona, we're moving on from Ferragamo" in the chorus refers to the artists ditching their old luxurious brand Ferragamo as they move onto something new, representing their advancement in life. The line "get the llama, I party with the real Madonna" shows the artists' elite status as they party with famous people like Madonna. The use of the term "lambo" in the second verse also represents luxury as Lambo is a slang term for a Lamborghini. Overall, the song attests to the lavish yet hard-working lifestyles of successful rappers and encourages listeners to remain diligent and humble even as they rise to the top.
