Future of Forestry Lyrics

Adonai, for life
Hearts unfold before You
In the light of the sun
Fill the sky, Adonai
Halleluiah, Halleluiah
Let my spirit sing sweetly
For the love in Your eyes
Hold me close, Adonai
These lyrics from Future of Forestry's song Halleluiah are a beautiful expression of worship that showcases the depth of God's beauty and love. The word "Adonai" is a Hebrew word that means "Lord" or "Master" and it is often used as a title of respect for God. The first line of the lyrics, "Adonai, here Your beauty dwells" refer to the belief that God's beauty can be seen in everything around us as all of creation reflects His glory. The second line, "Adonai, for life" could be interpreted to mean that God is the source of life and existence for all living beings.
The following two lines "Hearts unfold before You in the light of the sun, fill the sky, Adonai" paint a vivid picture of a radiant sunrise, where everything around us basks in the glory of God. It is also a metaphorical representation of how the hearts of believers open up to God's love in the light of His truth. The next lines "Halleluiah, Halleluiah, let my spirit sing sweetly for the love in Your eyes, hold me close, Adonai" are a powerful expression of praise that acknowledges God's abundant affection towards us. It's a cry of someone seeking the warmth of God's love and presence in their life with the hope that He will hold them close and guide them forward.
