(I don't, I really don't)
Across the room (across the room)
I looked away (I looked away)
Looking out for paralyzed and blown away
I kept around (I kept around)
Where Jesus swayed (Where Jesus swayed)
Christmas Day.
(I don't, I don't)
(I don't, I really don't)
(I don't, I don't)
(I don't, I really don't)
(I don't, I really don't)
(I don't, I really don't)
Across the room (across the room)
I looked away (I looked away)
Looking out for paralyzed and blown away
I kept around (I kept around)
Where Jesus swayed (Where Jesus swayed)
And all the bells were ringing out for
Christmas Day.
(I don't, I don't)
(I don't, I really don't)
(I don't, I don't)
(I don't, I really don't)
I really don't.
(French Speach)
The lyrics of Futuro Pelo's song Swamp may seem cryptic at first, but upon closer inspection, they hint at the idea of detachment from the world and the search for something meaningful. The repetition of the phrase "I don't, I really don't" throughout the song suggests a sense of apathy towards what's going on around the singer, as if they are disengaged or disillusioned.
The first stanza features the singer standing across the room, disinterested in what's going on, and keeping to themselves. The mention of Jesus swaying and the bells ringing out for Christmas Day give a sense of nostalgia and perhaps a longing for simpler times. The next stanza repeats the same lines, emphasizing the singer's detachment and apathy towards their surroundings.
The rap in French towards the end of the song brings a change in tone and adds more depth to the lyrics. The words suggest that sometimes life can feel like a swamp that the singer is struggling to get out of. It hints at the idea of feeling stuck in a rut and trying to break free from it.
Overall, the lyrics of Swamp are thought-provoking and open to interpretation. They explore themes of detachment, apathy, and the search for meaning in life.

This song holds so many memories . I remember tripping off shrooms with my best friends for the first time . We were at a stop light and this came on and I was truly amazed . I’ll never forget

Lewis' style is amazing. There is a slight pop feeling but he keeps surprising my ears with his synths.
I really dig this remix, it probably is the very vintage and futuristic approach to the song.
Who am I kidding, what the fuck am I writing. I should just shut up and enjoy the music. Oh it's already finished, time to hit replay!
