Smokin' and drinkin' till we get wasted Don't fuck with that white, you can say that
I'm racist Won't pass you up, but I'll pass you on
Done stuck together ,through it all Hit after hit, done made me strong
Loud might make you snooze, but don't be alarmed Since the first time I hit it, I couldn't
forget it Strong hits to my chest, just like a gorilla
This dank is some killer, drink straight to my liver But if you's a rooks, best reconsider
Cause I take a toke then pour up some more ,Take a shot then blow out the smoke
Oh no, ma Mary, no one can replace ya You've always had my back when I ain't have
no paper And say what, we came up, ain't nothing
gonna change us So spark up some dody and pass on them chelas
The lyrics to G-Eazy's song "Faded" are a reflection of the ups and downs of a relationship. The singer is waiting at 3am for someone who does not respond, so he leaves with his friends while the girl stays behind. Throughout the song, G-Eazy highlights the passage of time and his thoughts about the relationship. The second goes by, and they look up at the sky, but she is "faded" or distant. He listens to himself think, and there seems to be no end to the road, indicating that this relationship might be stuck in a cycle.
The chorus is a repeated version of the opening verse, emphasizing the waiting and uncertainty in the relationship. The lyrics about "dreamland" speak to the idea of escapism, where people can daydream about the things they want to be. This is inspirational to the singer, who feels a fire burning inside him, despite the loops and twists in his life, like a coaster. He describes past experiences where people switched on him and ended up burning like a toaster.
The final section of the song includes more details about the relationship. The girl doesn't want cigarettes but is vaping instead. They are dating, and she thinks he has style, or "the drip." The line "blue eyes she a miracle" might be a hint at the girl being someone special to the singer. However, there are still moments of doubt as the relationship moves too fast, and the singer cries, but he hides his tears behind the fact that he is high. The singer is her guide, and she wants to have sex, but it is unclear whether he feels the same way.
Overall, the lyrics to "Faded" paint a picture of a relationship that might be stuck in a cycle, with both people unsure how to move forward.
