Ahhh Shit
G-Unit Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm minding my business officer, I'm minding my business
Please just leave me alone
I told you the last time, please leave me alone

(We want the officer who did the choke
As well as the officers that stood around)

(Ahhh shit)
Now why the fuck did you call them cops?
(Ahhh shit)
With your hands up you still getting shot
(Ahhh shit)
Here they come now, they out on patrol
(Ahhh shit)
They killed a few, they finna kill some more

Walked in here on that bullshit, I been turnt up all day bustin' shots
Ever since Mike Brown went down, my whole city like "fuck a cop"
Run the red light, fuck the stop
Bust his head when you pump the Glock
Got my bread up, I run the block
I don't play around with you bombaclots
Bring it you to you if you really want this
My heart cold, I'll send you somethin' hot
Blowing kush, but I'm stayin' focused
'Cause niggas move when they think you not
That shit got my brother shot
Standin' right in front of his mother's spot
But that got about ten of them popped
And last night another one of them dropped
We don't do no peace treaties, no backing down, no calling quits
Kidd Kidd tell these niggas how quick Buck can get on my New Orleans shit
Like, what ay, say, bro, you must not know me
You want war? Okay

(Ahhh shit)
Now why the fuck did you call them cops?
(Ahhh shit)
With your hands up you still getting shot
(Ahhh shit)
Here they come now, they out on patrol
(Ahhh shit)
They killed a few, they finna kill some more
(Ahhh shit)
Man, who the fuck done dialed 9-1-1?
(Ahhh shit)
Now who the fuck done dialed 9-1-1?
(Ahhh shit)
See the lights flashing, now here they come
(Ahhh shit)
Now who the fuck done dialed 9-1-1?

Let's stomp 'em out with both feet
They gon' patch him up like a slow leak
Rest in Peace to Ezell middle finger to the police
Fuck y'all with no grease, no justice, no peace
They did Mike wrong like Cochise ain't nobody getting no sleep
Now they sayin' we ignant, Buck is you rolling with me?
My hoodie on like Trayvon, I'mma give Zimmerman the business
Where I go my niggas follow, hollow points thrown like a spiral
It's go time, show time, get clapped like the Apollo
I'm trapped out like fuck y'all, I'll abide by this gun law
Unless you gon' do me like Eric Gardner
If you catch me smokin' on my cigar
Put my hands up and you pull your pistol
Just because I'm a hood nigga
This full clip gon' full flip you

(I can't breathe, I can't breathe)
(I can't breathe, I can't breathe)
(I can't breathe, I can't breathe)

Once again, police beating up on people (Back up, and get all ya stuff, back up)
All he did was break up a fight and this is what happens for breaking up a fight

(This is a disgrace, there's a test in this city and we intend to keep the pressure off)
(Let's continue to show this nation who we are, continue to show this country who we are)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of G-Unit's "Ahhh Shit" touches on police brutality, systemic racism and the killings of innocent black men. The lines "Now why the fuck did you call them cops?/With your hands up you still getting shot" directly condemn the police force for the atrocities against the black community. The song references the killing of Mike Brown and Trayvon Martin, the injustice and lack of accountability from the police department, and the consequent protest and violent encounters in American cities. The chorus "Now who the fuck done dialed 9-1-1?" adds to the notion that it is the people's responsibility to call out the injustice and for the police to recognize that their actions have brought backlash.

The verses have a defiant and aggressive tone, with lines like "Let's stomp 'em out with both feet/They gon' patch him up like a slow leak," however, the chorus repeatedly reminds the listener that the police will continue to kill, and people will continue to die until accountability is taken. The lines "I'm trapped out like fuck y'all, I'll abide by this gun law/Unless you gon' do me like Eric Gardner" highlights the fact that African Americans don't feel protected by the police and are therefore forced to protect themselves.

Authorities & The Rest

Firstly, Awesome Song!! Thanks for getting back in, it at it & giving us listeners some fresh G U again

The Unit somehow is better now as a Team and each individually were always good but after all successes and time to get better i.e. lyrically, heart, guts its a comprehensive delivery fellas

Way to unappreciated generally plus given circumstances. In history how rare it is to see any artist hip hop or any other genre to get better at their craft once superbig n shit ? next to never.

Also, when did LB get so lyrical pretty fucking impressed maybe the world might notice the unit for more that for being just stand up dudes but also certified artists as should be - legend(s) Really feeling my speakers when the U's on em!! kk is great mix to the whole mix & buck just priceless always was - more please! ! More like this one lads, not just for the subject. The songs U has of late have been literally shaking the whole house & upsetting the 50 odd joints that surround haha!!! Cheers stay Unit , thanks 50!!

thanks from oz!

To all the morons on comments that only slow the progress you hope for, you could benefit by not pushing further backwards i.e. need to think (period) without the blinkers on, its unity that's needed if trying get at & change any establishment (people minds really)..Anarchy? how will all get on haha peace China we love ya down here. Keep the shit in the news, media songs wherever possible, but dont stoop it only weakens(you) in the argument/battle etc. Telling supporters indiscriminately 'fuck off' is what your doing. That only makes sense if say, your a anti you troll trying to recruit more against it wont drum up positive results . you can't seriously be that stupid.. all the rest of your country should stand up as cause spastics are either more numerous or just more vocal? Either way they're helping you all race straight into the wall.
Freedom of speech doesn't mean every dumb cunt should be talking. Step back a minute. The world is with ya on this, if you let em..

Anyway enough of that, WTF does any of us non Americans know.. especially us multi cultural 'convicts' who get on providing you're ignorant drop kick cunt whether wearning the colour blue or not.

Keep kicking goal Team Unit we want more!!
