G-Unit was founded shortly after 50 Cent left Columbia Records. The original members were: 50 Cent, Bang Em Smurf, Domination, Lloyd Banks, Sha Money XL & Tony Yayo. These rappers collectively established the group as a whole in 2000; however, after Yayo got a prison sentence 50 Cent signed Young Buck and along with himself and Banks became the three faces of G-Unit. Smurf and Domination left the group due to some problems with the General, 50 Cent.
After being shot, 50 Cent signed to Interscope Records. Due to the success of his commercial debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin', he was granted his own record label. This was when 50 and Sha Money XL founded G-Unit Records.
The group continued to work hard and released several mixtape series which earned them a lot of attention in the rap industry. The most prominent of these being 50 Cent Is the Future, God's Plan, No Mercy, No Fear and Automatic Gunfire. G-Unit have also started a mixtape series with their DJ, DJ Whoo Kid, called G-Unit Radio.
These mixtapes gave them a gigantic buzz throughout New York City, which eventually led to 50's first solo album Get Rich or Die Tryin' selling over 12 million copies.
Before the group had a chance to record its debut album, Tony Yayo was sentenced to prison for a gun-possession charge as well as bail-jumping. During Tony Yayo's prison sentence, the group signed Nashville rapper, Young Buck. They continued their activity, working on yet more mixtape recordings. In particular, their 'G-Unit Remix' to 50 Cent's "P.I.M.P." was successful.
During Tony Yayo's prison sentence, G-Unit recorded their debut album, Beg for Mercy. The album was quickly released on November 14, 2003 to combat bootlegging and had significant commercial success. Tony Yayo made only two appearances on the album, both on songs that were recorded before his arrest. The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard charts and sold over 4 million units.
50 Cent later went on to sign The Game, Mobb Deep, M.O.P., Olivia, Spider Loc andMase. The Game was asked to be put in the group by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. 50 Cent agreed, and gave 7 of his records which was supposed to go on his second LP The Massacre. After The Game went on the radio and said that he had no problems with some rappers 50 Cent had issues with, 50 felt that Game was disloyal and kicked him out of the group, which lead to the infamous G-Unit vs. The Game/Black Wallstreet meet and beat off.

Uh-huh
Stunt 101
I'll teach you how to stunt
My wrists stay rocked up
My TV's pop up in a Maybach Benz
I'll teach you how to stunt
My Bentley GT got smoke gray tints
I'll teach you how to stunt
My neck stay blingin', my rims they gleamin', I'm shinin', man
I'll teach you how to stunt
I see you schemin', nigga, keep on dreamin', I'll hurt ya, man
I'll teach you how to stunt
Seven series BM, six series Benz (uh-huh)
Twenty-four inches, Giovanni rims (yeah)
R1 one wheel when I'm on one of them
Ma, that boy out there actin' a fool that's him
They say I've changed, man, I'm gettin' paper, I'm flashy
They like me better when I'm fucked up and ashy
My royalty check's the rebirth of Liberace
Stunt so hard, everybody gotta watch me
And I don't really care if it's platinum or white gold
Long as the VS bling, look at that light show
In the hood they say, "Fifty, man, your sneaker look right, yo"
Just can't believe Reebok did a deal with a psycho
Banks is a sure thing, y'all niggas might blow
I'm finna drop that, so I suggest you lay low
Buck, he from Cashville, Ten-a-key, nigga
Gettin' them ten a ki', save ten for me, nigga
I'll teach you how to stunt
My wrists stay rocked up
My TV's pop up in a Maybach Benz
I'll teach you how to stunt
Nigga, you can't see me
My Bentley GT got smoke gray tints
I'll teach you how to stunt
My neck stay blingin', my rims they gleamin', I'm shinin', man
I'll teach you how to stunt
I see you schemin', nigga, keep on dreamin', I'll hurt ya, man
I'll teach you how to stunt
Now I'm sensing a lot of tension now that I'm rappin'
But the kids used to look up to you, what happened?
Me on the contrary, hand covered with platinum
Different color coupes but I'm in love with the black one
On point, 'cause you get R.I.P.'s when slackin'
So the stash box big enough to squeeze the MAC in
Yeah, I'm fairly new but I demand some respect
'Cause I already wear your advance on my neck
I'm fresh off the jet, then I breeze to the beaches
Blue Yankee fitted, G-Unit sneakers
I already figured out what to do with all my features
Decorate the basement, full of street sweepers
When it comes to stuntin' there's nothin' you can teach us
We're in a different time zone, your records don't reach us
Nah, I ain't here to save the world, just roll up a blunt
Come with me out front
I'll teach you how to stunt
My wrists stay rocked up
My TV's pop up in a Maybach Benz
I'll teach you how to stunt
Nigga, you can't see me
My Bentley GT got smoke gray tints
I'll teach you how to stunt
My neck stay blingin', my rims they gleamin', I'm shinin', man
I'll teach you how to stunt
I see you schemin', nigga, keep on dreamin', I'll hurt ya, man
I'll teach you how to stunt
The kid's so icy, you don't have to like me
In a throwback jersey with the throwback Nikes
I know you probably seen me with Cash Money from back in the days
The only thing changed is the numbers on the Range
I bought me an old school and blew out the brains
The Roc the Mic tour, I threw off my chain
My Sprewell's spinnin', man, I'm doin' my thing
And whodi now in trouble now that you in the game
Come on now, we all know gold is gettin' old
The ice in my teeth keep the Cristal cold
G-Unit, homie, actin' like y'all don't know
Look, I can't even walk through the mall no more
I just pull up, get out, and get all the hoes
They never seen doors lift up on a car before
Don't be mad at me, dawg, that's all I know
Is how to show these fugazies how it's 'posed to go, yeah
I'll teach you how to stunt
My wrists stay rocked up
My TV's pop up in a Maybach Benz
I'll teach you how to stunt
Nigga, you can't see me
My Bentley GT got smoke gray tints
I'll teach you how to stunt
My neck stay blingin', my rims they gleamin', I'm shinin', man
I'll teach you how to stunt
I see you schemin', nigga, keep on dreamin', I'll hurt ya, man
I'll teach you how to stunt
