2.8.3. was where both Noi and G.F.B. began to learn their trade, with various studio and live experience, even traveling to Thailand to make their music. After the trip to Thailand, both members went their own way. G.F.B. kept on writing and rapping, but nothing really took off, until he met Tony "J.D." Chalk, bass player for Stonemunki.
G.F.B.'s love of all things metal and hip-hop made him an easy fit into the group, and after joining the band for one song, Different, he was asked to join as full-time member of the band less than 6 months in. A hectic writing, recording and gigging schedule stretched G.F.B.'s abilities to the very limits, and helped to instill a work ethic in him that still carries on today.
In 2007, G.F.B. started work on his first mixtape, Too Dumb To Do Anything Else, collaborating with a number of different musicians he knew to provide him backing tracks that crossed a wide range of genres and styles. After a year of hard work and recording, the mixtape was finally released, in January 2008.
Immediately G.F.B. was straight back to work with Stonemunki, and on his second mixtape, Different Shades of Grey. "I wanted to keep the ball rolling," he explains "so I started writing for the second mixtape straight away. I'd been writing for three years, but had been doing metal for the most part, so I wanted to keep up the work on the hip-hop side of things because there's so many ideas in my head, and not all of them can be expressed through metal!"
The second mixtape expanded upon G.F.B.'s talents both lyrically and musically, with a wide selection of tracks that range from hip-hop and grime to completely opposite ends of the spectrum with acoustic and metal! Currently, G.F.B. is working on his third, currently untitled, mixtape, due to be recorded in March 2010 and after that he plans to release a full-length album full of entirely backing tracks, whilst also working hard with his current metal band, Suffocate on the Low.

just installed mine on my abarth, and my god is it good.
Pros:
-Throttle response makes it feel like my car is NA
-Boost holds at high rpms (and feels like the rpms climb faster)
-most significant change is low end torque, it just takes off (feels like its quite a bit faster 0-60)
-big changes to performance for such a small and relatively cheap part
Cons:
-Installation is difficult, at least for an abarth 500. ( have several hex/allen keys on hand you're going to drop many)

Put this on my Abarth 500. Works pretty damn good, makes the drive a whole lot smoother and holds in the boost near redline. The stock piece was garbage and made of plastic, I have no idea how it even worked in the first place.
Without the DV+ my car would shudder badly when letting off the throttle and jumping back on the gas. The factory piece would just dump all the boost at the slightest lift off the throttle which is VERY annoying behavior, DV+ solved that. Also near redline boost would leak all the way down to 12psi immediately after reaching peak boost of 18psi. Now with the DV+ the gauge pegs at 16-18psi and stays there like it should. Definitely a step-1 mod on the list before you do anything else to your car.

This DV worked wonders in my 2.0 TSI Seat Leon FR, eliminated most of the lag found at low RPM's (running an APR stage II+ remap) and gave me full boost at a wider RPM range, I totally recommend it! Do not waste your money on those expensive valve kit "solutions", this DV is the shit!

Fitted mine today in my GTI K03, feels a lot more responsive low down and as it has an induction kit on it you can hear the DV is closed much more than the stock one, no more constant loud hissing on part throttle. One thing though, loud flutter on gearshifts, have fitted turbo muffler delete though. Should there be any surge releasing throttle on boost? Sounds cool to me but just wondering if it's normal.

Depending on your level of modification it may be normal to hear some flutter under certain conditions if you choose to use the main piston spring. I would suggest getting in touch with our engineers at support@gfb.com.au and send some video of what's going on and info about your car so they can take a look

Forge sounds way better since it flutters but the GFB bov has a better response and holds a lot of boost. I felt the difference to be honest
